i used xs++3.1 , i'm not sure if it has a script for the g900 though, load up xs++ select the smartphone connect box then ,press connect then connect the phone the programme will load up the main flashing screen, click the drop down box at the top and see if there is a g900 script first.

Rookwise, you have to do it manually. There is already a topic about it:

Thankyou. I remember reading that thread a while ago but couldn't remember whereabout it was. Also tried using the search but Esato's search function is hit and miss at the best of times.
I've already done a GDFS backup and have made a copy like the guide says. Just downloading Hex Workshop from Download.com and going to have a go.
Looking on the Davinci forums it seems that someone else has had the same problem except theirs is a P1i. Davinci support hasn't helped them out either.

All done as per the guide. SEUS recognised the phone as GW1 and is now updating.
Glad I didn't pay for anymore credits on Davinci. Each firmware flash for smartphones costs £19 from there.

I have experience buying from Ecell on Ebay and I can firmly recommend against it. I paid £450 for a Samsung Omnia which never arrived. I have 14 Emails from them promising a full refund which has never materialised. I have since launched a County Court action against them and they move offices so regularly it is difficult to enforce. I recommend you buy anywhere else except Ecell.

Yeah it is a rip off. I remember using Davinci to debrand my P1 and my W960 when they came out and it only cost me £10 from there.
Looks like their prices have gome up but their service has gone waaaay down as it seems that more people are experiencing problems and Davinci support don't want to know.

Got myself a brown/black unit 4 days ago, posting from it now thru Opera 8.65. FW is R9N002, very fast and i haven't experienced any freezing or restarts.
What makes me happy above all things is the superb T9 implementation. It offers a primary and a secondary language for the dictionary database. What this means is that if you're bilingual, you can seamlessly integrate the two languages in your typing. In real-world usage it's very quick and accurate and completely eliminates the need for a qwerty keyboard.
