what i know causing lag in the phone is

we are using the same firmware, my c901 is the fastest phone i ever had with sonyericsson if i should say
i never use my phone internal memory for storage, never been my practice to use it, to prevent the phone from lagging
and also i heard and read about M2 card capacity, specially when you have higher storage capacity like 4g/8g/16g i heard lags or so slow when it reads the card specially when updating media/when turned on and viewing lots of video's, pictures and music files, but then i guess this is normal to all memory modules

No, i mean the UI looks laggy then the Elm, but not really slow

How to do it? I don't want the icons, just letter, i want it looks like default phone
