Everybody is waiting improved imaging algorithms and advanced manual controls from Z4. Well, I think if the hardware will be the same as Z3/Z3c's than the software improvements are quite important to appear on Z3/Z3c as well. Z3/Z3c owners have a quite recent -just few months old- flagship which would deserve some steps forward also.
I have a Z3c, and I know that it's camera has great potentials, but in certain environments is pathetic how it fails (and yes, I've tried all possible setting but here the options are rather poor). Improved image stabilisation algorithm, or manual shutter speed would solve this. Indoors I would prefer to use 1/32-1/60 shutter speed, because Z3c at 1/16 with my hands tends to produce quite motion blurred images.

Corporate logic vs. individual logic. Sony have been loosing money with their TV business for 8 years now, yet they still keep releasing new line ups every year instead of cutting the rotting limb. Corporate loses = tax brakes. Same applies to returns. They don't go back to Sony, unless defective and require warranty repairs. Most of the time it goes back to the carrier and they sell it as re-certified.

Judging by full res indoor shots here(low light)my Z2 takes way better indoor pics than this.i don't see anything super ultra here that most reviews are claiming

Money speaks... else even i have never seen any galaxy taking as nice low light pics as Xperia. Not even close.

Sony strategy is already leaked a few months ago. the only thing that is new here is the smaller update name. if true, sony definitely made the right decision with the naming as calling this z4 then 3-4 months later announcing z5 would be a bit ridiculous. the name also fits as sony just started the "i can" marketing adds.
with this name clarification we should definitely expect ifa announcements of z4 and z4 compact for sure and possibly also z4 phablet and z4 tablet compact.
