does ebay in the UK include vat though? if they are selling without vat, then it hasn't dropped..

Two ebay sellers here in the UK sold the Z1 for £500, one yesterday and one today and that is the total cost of the phone no extra VAT on top, Sony has massive competition from GS4, LG G2, Note 3, Iphone 5S and more so it's going to be difficult.

Don't try to be funny here. It's clearly stated to be in "mint" condition.
He probably dent the phone or whatever. In my country phone resell market, Lumia phone value drops exponentially. A second hand Xperia Z cost more than a second hand Lumia 925. Why? Lumias have simply no demand.

^^ha i didn't even search, but if the Z1's aren't even BRAND NEW condition, that's even worse. overpriced but if they are selling used for 50 quid more than what a brand new one costs, that tells you how much Z1 is desired..

Your wrong, they are £560 on Clove including VAT and £500 on Ebay and they are 1 day old so basically brand new, they have bought them and don't want them so people can save themselves £60 by buying off Ebay.

I bought a Xperia Z off Ebay for £380 within 4 weeks of it being released, I think the Z1's will be available on Ebay for around £400 by the end of October.

Sure thing.
And my (insert brand) can last longer than a Sony, go and ask around, you will hear that (insert brand's name) will always have decent battery life.

Not much of an argument you're making there.

Cheers.

This is your problem actually. You only rely on a single test and ignore the real life usage. You quickly call it a mistake when it is not. Similarly, you call the viewing angle as a mistake, but you fail to see how the Z1 is much better than the latest Samsung offering. Again, there is no problem with the viewing angle. On top of that, you should know by now that Sony display is brighter than others especially compared to Amoled display.

May be you feel insecure but honestly, you don't have to worry about that.

Where did I say anything about viewing angle? And where did I say it was a mistake?

um...

YOU said..

Last I checked, Clove sells a BRAND NEW Z1 with Smartwatch 2 for £470 (NO VAT). 470
I understand if you are in the UK, you can save some money through ebay. but even with vat, you can get it from clove, sell the smartwatch, and your Z1 is still cheaper than 500 and brand new. I don't know about you, but I hate buying used things.. even if it's just 1 day.

Lol! What's this Lumia fan roaming here?
Here's your £500 Z1. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co[....]nav=SEARCH&itemId=171130555489
"Sony Xperia Z1 - Black - Unlocked - MINT CONDITION"
It's clearly stated MINT CONDITION - AESTHETICALLY DAMAGED
Anyway, what are you trying to prove? Lumias have high value? Not here. Go to somewhere where WP can interact and pretend WP is very successful.

Wow this is not what I was expecting, 6 hours browsing time? O_o The Z with a smaller battery has almost 40 min more browsing time. The LG G2's time is insane, with the same CPU and bigger screen get 11 hours?

I've accepted the less than optimal viewing angles, and the fact the camera is not ready yet and will be updated in the near future from what was posted here but no such info from directly from Sony. I know the firmware for the phone is not 100% and it will improve but i doubt any firmware updates will drastically increase the browsing time.

Still hopeful that I will be picking up the Z1 next week, but I might just wait.

Think you need to be quiet boy.

It's not damaged it doesn't have a mark on it! Read the description, mint condition means new!

And I'm not a lumia boy, only had a 920 which I no longer have, I don't even like WP so please don't presume things about me, thanks.

^ ok ok.

mint condition does not mean new. otherwise he'd just say new.

in any case.. what i said in my post is still true. for 500, it's overpriced and people are still buying it. Which means demand and value of the Z1 is GREAT.
