I agree, coverage of the worldcup could be a lot better.

miss uk...
Why don't we talk about the weather then! I'm spending July and part of August in London, care to give me a heads-up on weather trends during those months?
Oh yeah and you know we can't let you sneak that little comment in without having some fun with you don't you. People use both terms, but yes "cell phone" is the most prevalent. What type of network does a mobile phone connect to? A cellular network . We love have you all call a cars hood and trunk a bonnet and boot. btw, I'm just having some fun with you please don't take offense to it

Ive been waiting nearly a whole yr for the P990i and to this point I know it's out s'posedley soon but I think it seems a lil outdated now,
but I will see one of the guys at work is buying one so I will have a look at it but tbh I ain't to big on "Bricks" anymore

SE have got nothing that appeals to me anymore I don't like the Menu's of the D750i's either

I took something different and went for the Samsung D600,
it's agreat Mobee it does everything I need it to and it does take good shot's when you know how to use it propaly

I mean some muppets on this forum have it 1 day take a pic say it crap then f00k it off thats so surreal, if you intend to buy a phone you have to use it to the max then judge it afterwards

BTW: Im trying to avoid the Soccer aswell as Big Bro there like some virus thats around alot at the mo, I wont watch the match but I don't mind hearing the score at the end of the day

How hot is it where you boys are then?
I think today it's approx 27 C, it windy which makes it cooler

Ive never been to London since I was a lil enn I can't really remember much about it, hopefully I will go at somepoint,
My Mums bloke lives there and I think my friend wants me to try and get down there to meet her in November when she comes over from Germany

But I don't know tbh cos ive got alot in the next few months to do im going to Germany in August to see her btw then September my sis is getting married

I bet you will be upgrading your Mobile wont cha?
all the yanks seem to come over for new phones lol

or to slag off us cos we haven't got some pewny thing instock which they have in the U.S.A

Many yanks visit here you can't go anywhere w/o bumping into one,
no offence you know there around cos there bloomin loud

Next yr I think i'll go to NYC im looking forward to go into a shop and hear you lot shout exscuse me madame where can I find these "Pants" I rec that will be hilarious

We have so many terms of words that are different to u guys btw it's just funny at the end of it

rite well sleep well and enjoi your weekend guys

Ps, are there any wimmin about in here?! or is it just a boys pad he!he!

It was about 99F/37C yesterday, and it will only get warmer and more humid It was so hot that part of one of the interstates buckled and caused a UPS truck and trailer to end up on its side.

No, I won't be upgrading while I am there. I may buy a P990i before I leave if it is ever released. More than likely I will just wait until I return home in mid-August to buy one. I don't do the small phone thing, smallest thing I've ever owned was a T68. Love my Z800 for its bulkiness, and at 6'5", it fits me.

Yeah, we do have some loud ones. It's funny at times, but mostly annoying. Especially when you are shopping or in a library and someone just insists on using their "outside voice". Ringers are another story, people seem to think that their ringer must be set at the highest volume or they will miss a call.

What gets me is Bluetooth. I understand its usefulness for some people while driving, and I fully understand its use in the workplace, but why on the street? Is it that hard to hold a phone and walk?

Yes, I am American, I just have a few issues with some of our ways.

miss uk

Would you help me out?

I've been looking at the various pre-paid options online, but don't quite understand how things are done in Europe. In the U.S. you would just buy a sim and a refill card that comes in various increments of minutes and talk until the minutes run out then buy a new refill card. Say 1000 minutes for $50(£25) and talk until the minutes are gone.

I am assuming a 2:1 exchange rate for simplicity 2USD=1GBP.

With my current monthly pay plan from T-Mobile, I get 1000 minutes w/free nights and weekends, and 1000 text for $56 (£28). However, any call I make/recieve will cost $1(50p) so my included minutes really don't matter. Text messages would be $0.35 (18p) each way.

It is going to be cheaper for anyone in the States to call me than for me to call them, but I still want a reasonably priced option to not only call the States but to also make calls while in London and when I travel. I understand the whole buying a new SIM in each country, but what carrier should I go with if I do so? Any other suggestions?

When I went to Germany I just bought a prepaid 50 euro sim with Vodafone and used it up. Very convenient.

Hi I don't use PAYG thats what it's called here but anyhows I did have a Prepay sim many years ago and Top-up was kinda easy you can buy a voucher for £10, £15, £20 or £50 or you can use your debit/credit card to top-up your Mobile "Sorry" cellphone lol

If you have anymore question let me know,

When you come here let me know, and i'll pop u enn in the post

btw if you yankys are fed-up opf waiting for phones to come out overthere have you not thought of asking any people on this forum that are in the Uk to get phones and ship them to you???

Just a thought ennit

I could do that for you no prob,

For those avid soccer fans there’s a way to watch your favorite team while away from your (HD)TV, make your own video stream to your cell phone.
