Those who think the Sony IFA announcement weren't groundbreaking needs some reality check, if 99% of the info were leaked prior to the announcement how could you expect to be surprised, you asked for it, and our friends gave in the leaks, but they overdid the spoilers and we ended up knowing almost everything even before Sony could surprise us. back when the details regarding Honami were still hazy, there was that huge question mark popping on our head. and a single blurry spypic could send us in ecstasy, but some of you were too anxious, asking confirmations here and there and got their answer, now that Z1 came with everthing you expected after the widespread leaks you'll came here saying you're not surprised. that's ludicrous if you'd ask me.
Please open Your eyes. People are disappointed because You started rumours with Honami being competitor to Nokia PureView. Honami was supposed to have 1/1.5" sensor, xenon flash, hardware image stabilisation. You gave false hope, and as the announcement was getting closer. Those fake rumours weere exposed, suddenly the sensor is 1/2.3", xenon flash is a no go, and even few days before announcement it turns out that it won't even have hardware image stabilisation. Then some guy from Sony facebook page says that with what's coming who needs xenon flash? Turns out it's all bullshit. And Honami is just a little above average cameraphone. Do You understand where's that disappointment coming from?
EDIT: Sorry forgot to mention 4K video recording and
1080p@60fps, that also turned out to be a fake rumour :

Xperia Z1 was never meant to compete in 1020's category. 1020’s alternate name is failure. Failure in sales, looks and everything. If it’s so good, the least it should show in financial records on the volume of sales, which till now, for Nokia, is fortunate disappointment. General consumers prefer looks to sacrificial thickness to house a larger sensor. It's only this little bunch of tech of enthusiasts who will go mad about this little bullcrap sensor size and Xenon flash. Xperia Z1’s camera will be definitely be much above average. I can see that you’re extremely insecure of Sony’s rise and the Nokia’s fall, but don’t worry, the trend will continue, exponentially. And btw, it’s stated extremely clearly, it’s a rumours thread. If you don’t know the definition of ‘rumours’, go educate yourself before coming here. As a rumour thread, information tends to be not confirmed.

Z1 seems like a great device, actually the BEST smartphone flagship of 2013. if my current phone stopped working i'd pick it up z1 without even thinking of its compatition. with that, if i look for bad things in it is that it seems:
1. the screen still doesn't look like the best screen on the market, sure, they improved over the Z, but it still seems dull and viewing angles are still not the best. i'm curious to see comparison with its rivals on this to be sure.
2. i would LOVE if the screen was larger then 5 inch, at least 5.2 inch, 5.X inch.
3. i wish the bezel were a bit thinner but this is less important thing for me - i'd compromize bezel for better spec.
4. it could have OIS for camera, but this is also less important for me
all the rest is GREAT in my book. maybe the 2014 flagship will answer these things?

I think it will be 5.25 Inch FHD with the same size as Z1
