Sony were the same when I had the xperia s mate, great phone on GB and then Sony released ics which was full of bugs it was horrendous, then we had to wait months for any sort of a fix, especially for UK sim free handsets, I waited 5 months and still no official update so I sold the s.
Got to admit it looks like Sony have learnt nothing from that

That's what I love about Nokia(not the only reason)they are so good with regular updates and look after their customers.

I hate to admit it but I think Nokia are a bit more on the ball regarding updates, especially to all customers, it's just sad that they never went with android

Yep same here, I agree with that Nokia handsets were amazing at updates and when a update came you were always please to see that the problems you were having were vanished with your update.
Elop took a decision and unfortunately did not pay off at all. Don't get me wrong some of the windows handsets that are out are nice enough phones indeed, I for one had the lumia 800 before this but could not get any of the market stuff that I wanted, have to say though the battery was a damn site better than this.

I'm back on ics @del not sure for how long though as I don't like not having the latest firmware.
I'm very disappointed that the UK generic handsets get update so bloody late.
Im even thinking of changing to a different brand. Don't want to but support ain't what it should be and I have to live with this phone for another 21 months.

Yep same here Alex mate, I loved my old Sony Ericsson Neo, which my brother still has, my old Sony xperia s was great on gb and then don't stuffed it with ics and now my t great on ics, so far jelly bean is a waste of space all Sony had to do was give ics the updated camera that came with jellybean

I was seriously considering getting the Z later in the summer when my contract runs out but now I'm going to have seriously consider the other brands now.

Yeah I agree with that as well a updated ics would have been nice with the camera features that comes with the jelly update, giving people a option either ics or jelly not making it a must if you want the features to update.
