Depends on the situation.
When auto shows you the NIGHT SCENE icon it can give you different settings.
Same for LOW LIGHT icon. It could be 1/32 or even 1s.
The 8MP SCN + night scene of Z phones can sometimes force 1s /iso50.
If subject is close and flash is ON, iso goes lower.
Landscapes night pics will probably be between iso 400-X , according to amount of light around.
XZ3 can never outperform XZ2P.
Even if you set iso400 x iso1600.
If dual cam is ON, of course.
Auto does not use it all the time.
If I had XZ2P, I would leave it set manual + iso400 + dual cam.
So everytime it goes to manual, setting is kept.

The 'SCN' function you've mentioned isn't available since XZP and therefore irrelevant. I would be happy if Sony would allow a little more than 1s exposure and perhaps a more continuous adjustment of the white balance. Last but not least, Raw photos.
I suspect we'll see class leading stabilization and it won't be OIS.
XZ3 vs XZ2P, I'll just add that the XZ2P has also got better lenses.
9 days to go...

Early next week I'd expect another teaser from Sony but as per usual don't expect them to give too much away.

It's a sample used for promoting Sony's eye af. There's also a video from Bob Martin featuring this shot.
Eye af in Xperia? Is it even necessary for such small lenses and apertures? Speaking in smartphone terms.

I saw something that looked almost like an X Performance, can anyone shed some light? I said that I had that phone before but the other person said that's impossible, what I saw has not been released.

There have been designs floating around that kept being labelled "XZ4 Compact" that looked like the X/X Performance.
