Will they be mid end or high end? For select markets or global?
I feel it may be mid end to wait until the z2, like xperia A (dual core right?) was here between z and z1 in Japan.
So we (docomo) get xperia Z1 in october (announced in september), "xperia A1" in January (announced in december) and xperia Z2 in april (announced in march).
Just my anticipation

Personaly I think that from now on Sony will always be up-to-date with processor... so for the Z2 I'm excpecting the next qualcomm chip (if it will be already avaible)... Also new screen Triluminos but with sharp or JVC panels, IPS or IGZO, it would probably rape every other screnn
The camera department will remain more or less the same, this new sensor was surely a big investment so they will use it a lot!!! just new tweaks on the software side, maybe a Xenon (but i'm not convinced, Sony likes good looking phones and if they do not find a way to put a Xenon in a thin phone they will not implement it...)... the thing I'm really excpecting for the Z2 is a better audio department able to bear the Walkmann's Name (maybe the audio department will work on it...)
for the rest the same as Z1 (which is already awesome...)!

2014 is said to be a year of xenon flash, as in 2013 "slim xenon flash" was inventent, that is much slimmer. Production is said to start in October, so we will see a lot of xenon flash in next year. If Sony goes too fast with next flagship they might omit it, which would be a big mistake IMO. I for one am sure, that the next phone I'll buy must have xenon flash, no more shit indoor photos, no more...

And in all fairness they picked the wrong brand to poke fun with, as the QX100 literally wipes the floor with even the 808 pureview on raw image quality hands down. (no thanks for a debate request from the fanboys
