WOW!!

Nokia really nailed it this time!!

Fantastic tweet, this is the game changer event that will help them survive as a phone maker.

Now they just have to launch the Lumia Zune, sit back, relax, there is no reason to try to make balanced products when microsoft pays salaries forever for creating niche devices that won't sell.

AFAIK the only successful hardware product that MS is successful at pushing at is the Xbox, and that's because of the game library, now if MS couldn't give WP the quality content the users are asking then their phone acquisition would be meaningless. I have a feeling that MS did the acquisition to further bully Samsung, HTC, Acer and many more OEMS for patent bullsh*t infringement. I hope Sony secures more patents to combat that evil empire I really think every Android OEMs should team up with google to fight back the approaching threat.

Elop returning to MS is a big insult to the shareholders/Investors, darn so impressed with them and really he had the face to return home after his massive flop, oh wait I was told he intended to destroy Nokia by purpose so it's value would be at MS reach for future purchase. he did an excellent job, I wouldn't be surpised if he'd become the next MS CEO

He he Razec, do not underestimate xbox, it now comes with skype, one microsoft!

Moogoo: It would be fun to see more qx10 and qx100 sold than Nokia 1020...

Back to topic: when is the xperia firefox launching? 2013?

Are they chances that sony will create a x86/atom waterproof tablet sporting ubuntu touch and a keyboard cover or dock a la surface? With libreoffice, etc... it would be a good mobile companion for work on the go, versatile.
Would you buy it?

Talking about Watches...
This is the attempt of Sammy to trail the Smartwatch (or the Pebble and so on...)

Simply Ugly It's thick and not good looking... Battery duration 18-20 hours... while the smartwach takes you trough 3-4 days (thanks OLED)... it has a camera (this is actually a plus, even if the camera is bad from what it has been shown), it is IP55 (so it will not be able to take a dive, whereas SW2 is IP57), compatible only with Note 2 and 3 at launch, then with SG3 and 4 trough update, will not work with brand different from samsung... FAIL ?? and it will cost 299$, so 100$ more then the already pricey Smartwatch 2... I think they failed hard...
To be fair...

Also the SW2 is thick...
the measures are SW2 9mm-41mm-41mm
GG 11mm-39mm-57mm

to be fair, they're both pretty big and clumsy looking. it would be great if innovation were far enough along to make a smart watch that wasn't so 1980s calculator-watch like. I mean, i'm all for big, bulky watches (e.g., G-shock), but i dunno, the squarishness of it turns me off.

but i would have to agree. samsung's attempt is disappointing. I was actually hoping they would come up with a watch that could compete. but simply from its lack of support for non-samsung devices, it's not even an option. of course, samsung controls a massive portion (over 50% maybe?) of android devices out there right now, so making it exclusive to samsung isn't exactly something that will kill this watch.

Sony opened up its camera software!

Sony has now released a “Camera Remote API” for creating apps for smartphones and tablets that will be able to interact with Sonys WIFI-enabled cameras. There is a sample app for Android available. Read more:
Start: http://camera.developer.sony.com/
Developer program: http://camera.developer.sony.com/pages/develop/grid/

The camera API is available for Sony QX-100 and QX-100 as well as NEX cameras (5R and thereafter). it means you can develop a custom app to control cameras from your smartphone, PC, browser, and technically, from anything!

Smart watches have a long way to go before being cool. Current models out there look like toys, we may have to wait for Apple to launch a fantastic looking device before other manufacturers take design of these things seriously.

I'm think Tab Z line will only see an annual update unlike the handsets which will get a refresh every 6 months by the seems of it. So I expect the new Tab Z to be out H1 next year and I suspect it will look like the current only with a aluminium rim, the 2.3GHz AB version of the S800 chipset and a RAM upgrade. I'd be very surprised if there isn't pencil input on the new tablet too.

Disclaimer: all the above is speculation only, please do not get over excited, divorce your wife and move to the Bahamas. You have not won the lottery, you will one day die and God is not going to save you.
