Sony smartwatch is not big and bulky....(I don't know about Sony Smartwatch 2) and its pretty cool. I'm surprise to see the poor battery life of Sammy smartwatch... The first sony smartwatch can last 3-4 days and the smartwatch 2, I believe even longer....

20 hrs of battery life is a joke.

In all fairness the first "Smart watch" on 2007 was a real beauty in my eyes

Absolutely razec! That SE watch is a beauty.

@moogoo

I agree with you, both watches are downright ugly!

Anyway, just wanted to find out when the next year's rumours section starts? I am particularly interested in the flagship at MWC. The Z1 is okay but it lacks that something that the Satio/Idou had when it was released especially after the Note 3 was outed.

That was a beauty... but it was more watch than smart .... still it was a beauty

But look at the SW2 with metallic strap... I love it....!!!!

Well it was "smart" enough at its time

I share the same opinion with dups, I'm not a fan of omnibalance design with watches. These aren't smartphones, watch designers are usually staying away from techie-looks, they go for classic, extravagant and expensive designs. Set aside the diminishing long term value, both SW2 and Gear looked ugly beside the MBW100, at least to me TBH, the MBW-100 didn't look dated even after 6 years!

For its very purpose, SW2 trumps the Gear hands down, I can't see myself holding a watch that would require daily recharge and pairing issues with other smartphone models

OH and BTW, Gear not having water proofing capability? Samsung just doesn't realize that this is standard in every expensive watches known in the world. Can't help but say that is Epic Fail

ow let's go back to topic

720p 4.3" screen, with the same processor , with the z sized battery and Less camera pixel
Maybe the same camera of Z1 but not 20 mp

Maybe 16 or 13

Thanks for the info!! what do you mean same camera? Is it still the same sensor with G lens and BIONZ? Then I find it hard to think why they would limit the megapixels, or is it a similar type of Exmor RS Sensor just smaller with less megapixels?

I have to admit I would be pretty disappointed if they changed the camera from the Z1 as that one of the features I was looking forward to the most in the smaller form factor!

Would the design be similar? and have the same buttons and ports?

Is the design language for the 2014 flagship going to be different or the same as OmniBalance. Is the Itsuki or whatever the 4.3" flagship is called, going to have OmniBalance, or an entirely new design language.

Also screens. I goddamn hope they use the best quality IPS panels. Z1 looks like it has different screens in different places, some offering really good off-angle quality and contrast, while other being have screens almost as bad as the original Z when viewed from an angle....

I really want the Z1, but if the screen isn't up to scratch when I go look at a display unit, then I guess I'll have to wait and see what's what in January.

It's too quiet in here

If Honami is the last 2013 device to be announced for this year, then I guess it's time for the 2014 thread to open, no?

We don't normally go over to the new thread until Nov. Also, random suggested there are still some devices left this year.
