What's the differece between ANDROID 1.6 AND ANDROID 2.0
I appreciate your help. Thanks
On the X10, multi-touch, 16m colors and the browser I believe.
Edit: I forgot the improved virtual keyboard.

@Indiandawg
Would guess not much that end users using SEs tweeked 1.6 will notice.
Android 2.0 highlights (Android 2.1 does not add significant user features).
http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.0-highlights.html
Some features such as BT file transfer, exchange support and certain camera features seems to have already been backported/added to X10 by SE themself, so a more interesting question is probably how much 2.1 differs from SEs tweeked version of 1.6 (nobody realy knows).
From my peresonal perspective, available features is of more interest than how they are provided (tweeked 1.6 or upgrade to 2.1), especially since it appears some form of upgrade path to newer android versions seems to exists according to some reports. The biggest issue as I see it may be compatibility with apps specifically written for 2.x, if such apps exists that I may need (don't know).

Thank you S4k1s and Arne Anka (They both are from Sweden

)
Looking at the highlights, there isn't much deference though besides multi touch and 16m colors then why there is so much of hype of Android 2.0 going on?

@Indiandawg
Believe it or not I was about to ask the very same question
With an upgrade to 2.0 or 2.1 in the pipeline I don't really understand what it is that the X10 will be missing prior to an upgrade that will put it at such a disadvantage to its competitors.
If the fact that the delay is due to an upgrade to 2.0 then I would have the phone out with 1.6 and upgrade later rather than wait a few more weeks for a relatively minor upgrade that will bring no major improvements.
Just get the phone on the shelves already - thats what I say.
Play.com have brought forward their release date to
19th Feb.
Xperia X10 launch delay denied by Sony Ericsson.

Given what SE have claimed about back porting and modding the OS to provide functionality plus their insistance on adding a secondary layer to the UI which crawls already! (I predict huge performance issues when people have very large numbers of contacts) I am not so sure a customer install update will be that simple perhaps just for once Sony Ericsson might be thinking ahead?

Is it just me or is everyone who showing off this phone only care about timescape and mediascape?
I want to see other things.....browser, typing, what else is in this phone.....how it works....
I get a "deja vu" from the infamous "panels" on the X1....I nearly never use the panels.....
Will it be the same with time/media-scape?
Is there anyone who can show me something else? I guess I missed some hands-on's...
