I was just relaying information from this or the R1N thread. I have not updated to R1N myself yet, so I have not had chance to verifiy much of this data.

If anyone with R1N can give a more clear explanation for this (there were quite a few people talking about this yesterday) then I will update the first post. If not, i'll remove this piece of information.

yeah.. i couldn't believe those picture with no noise... those pictures was taken 2 hours ago whereby Malaysia time is about 7:pm - 7:30pm dawn time....

What we mean by an extra bar is that in places where the signal strength was not full, it shows one more bar than it used to. So if say earlier it was showing 2 bars, now it shows 3 bars.

signal become stronger. use to have a spot in my room which have only 2 bar... but after yesterday update to R1N... i got 4 or 5 bar signal at that corner

however i noticed that improved signal reception lead my battery ruin faster than 3-5% faster compare the same period of time to yesterday.

anyone notice that or agree with me?

It seems like some people are getting R1B and others R1E... I have R1B and the progress bar jumped from 50 to 100 percent at once (read former post) and I wonder now if I really did get a full update...

Did your progress bar go slowly to 50 percent and then jumping to 100 percent when doing the update?

I'm sure you have tried this already, but looking at the log file in C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\log should tell you if any errors ocurred.
