pop-up flash can be hazard for IP58. it'll be very similar to flaps.

depends on the popup mechanism that's used. If it's anything like the Nikon P7000
and not the NEX-6

then I think it will do. since the nikon's are less exposed

power supply, signal and the pop-up mechanical parts will force opening into interior. that's going to make IP58 harder.

I think the main holdup on any sort of pop-up flash is that mechanically moving parts on mobile phones tend to be the first to break.

Also, the mechanisms for making the parts move take up valuable space.

For these reasons, to me, pop-up flash is not worth the design and reliability compromises and if I were designer at Sony I'd strongly be against such a thing.

Built-in flash is a different matter.

Thanks for the info!! what do you mean same camera? Is it still the same sensor with G lens and BIONZ? Then I find it hard to think why they would limit the megapixels, or is it a similar type of Exmor RS Sensor just smaller with less megapixels?

I have to admit I would be pretty disappointed if they changed the camera from the Z1 as that one of the features I was looking forward to the most in the smaller form factor!

Would the design be similar? and have the same buttons and ports?

It Will be the same G lens camera but with different algorithm and different mp

Is the design language for the 2014 flagship going to be different or the same as OmniBalance. Is the Itsuki or whatever the 4.3" flagship is called, going to have OmniBalance, or an entirely new design language.

The 4.3 incher aka Z1 mini will share a lot of design elements with the normal Z1 as the Z with the Z ultra

But the next 5 incher the Z2 you can scan back to see it

We're going too slow again.

@maia

Why would it have a different image algorithm? And I haven't seen any post claim about Z2's design, which are you talking about?
