right, you can't tell what the reserve price is, what you can do is put an automatic increase of the bid price to what you think is acceptable. If you don't meet reserve the person will still probably contact you after the bidding ends.

as for net compression things.. they might be good for general surfing, but downloading proggies and stuff... most are compressed anyway, so there wont be much improvement there. And no doubt downloading via there servers = data logging , so they know where youve been
