Anyone know how to turn off the beep sound when the phone disconnects from a WAP or Email download session?
The beep even sounds when the phone is in silent so is very annoying. Thanks in advance

i'm using my own mail server and once i've set it up, i'm having absolutley no problems sending an receiving...
make sure you receive mail just before you send it, as this authorises the pop server so you can send... thats all i did, and it works

EMAIL SORTED! At least for me: I could send and receive mail from my O2 email address, but using my Blueyonder email account, I could receive email, but sending resulted in the dreaded "Incorrect username or password" message. It had worked fine on my K750, using the standard trick of entering "pop3.blueyonder.co.uk" for the Incoming Server, and "smtp.o2.co.uk" for the Outgoing Server.
Obviously I used the same settings on the K800, and they didn't work. However, on a hunch, I changed the Outgoing settings to "smtp.blueyonder.co.uk", and bingo! Mail sent!
Now this is not the usual way of doing things, and it seems odd that this does not appear to be documented anywhere, but hey, it works! Hope this is of help to others.

Hi guys
OK heres my dilemma, I've just returned my N80 with 3, so that I can stick with O2, however, they want £130 for the N80, and to be quite frank, the N80 is a truly awesome phone, however, I do like to take pictures and videos on my phone when I'm out and about... The N80's video quality is absolutly second to none (in daylight), and the pictures are awesome, but I'm very interested in the K800, as I don't really need the full office capabilities etc of the N80. However, the K800 doesn't have a light, so night videos will be rubbish right? Also, how do videos and pictures compare in general on the two phones...
Cheers

Tried that on mine, and whilst I didn't get the 'Incorrect username or password error', I did get 'Send failed'. My ISP is Eclipse, and it didn't work using smtp.eclipse.co.uk or the actual IP address

Sorry if this was asked before... how does the internal flash in K800 compare with the add-on flash for K750? The one in the K800 looks smaller, i was wondering if it can light the same surface.
BTW, could you use the MXE-60 flash in the K800, alongside the internal one?
And another one: do the landscape pictures taken at evening/night (not using the flash, of course) still have all that blue noise, like in K750? Is the night mode improved?
Thanks!

I don't know much about the K750 but the flash on the K800 is a real xenon flash - just like a camera not a torch light.

Thats weird, I'm using o2's own email. I've found that in the username box you should put your full email address
eg-darth.paul@o2.co.uk, other than that I can't think what could be wrong!
I did try all of these options but it seems today it is now working. Interestingly their webmail was offline yesterday so maybe they have done some work on it.

I just used mail.o2.co.uk for both incoming and outgoing mail server setting's and it works a treat...
