My G900 started frizzing and the colors going dark and after that it restarts its self. This problem got worse and before even the home screen load after I turn the phone on it would restart. I tried updating the software with sonyericsson update service and even thought it updates successfully the problem remains. Does anyone know how to fix it?

i've been having this problem for the last few months. I ended up buying a replacement LCD from ebay and fitted it this morning and so far it seems to have solved the problem for me. I was getting restarts more or less every few hours so its looking good.

Do a hard reset first. If that doesn't work just use SEUS to update the firmware.

If you don't need touchscreen and Symbian UIQ3, you should stick with your C902.
The camera on both phones is about the same and C902 has much better build quality, G900 is too plasticky with a creaky battery cover. You'll be happier with the C902.

SE have dropped support for it in the uk. It isn't even on the website anymore.

Im more intrested in the different interface as im board with A200 platform, what does everyone prefer who has a g900, the A200 interface or G900 interface

I've got some experience of SE phones going back to the T300 then T610, K750, W800, K800 and now G900.

I really like my G900 and the touch screen is far less annoying than many other phones I've seen/tried. I quite like the g900 interface although there are some very useful functions missing.

No profiles is probably the most obvious. Another is the alarm function which doesn't work when the phone is switched off or onto silent mode. There also appears to be no way to enable/disable the appointment reminders (apart from individually for each appointment). Also the platform a a whole isn't quite as quick as the A200 platform.

On the plus side its a smart phone that still works very well as a standard phone and i think they've done a very good job at making a phone that is a very good compromise between something like a windows mobile phone and a standard A200 phone.

Its just a pity that UIQ is now dead. Lets hope that Symbian foundation takes off.
