Even the LG G2 managed a good 62hrs despite a larger display. Sony really need to sort this crap out.

They don't have to sort anything. There is no problem with the battery. My Xperia can last longer than Samsung. Go and ask around, you will hear that Sony's phone will always have decent battery.

Sure thing.
And my (insert brand) can last longer than a Sony, go and ask around, you will hear that (insert brand's name) will always have decent battery life.

Not much of an argument you're making there.

Cheers.

A black and white 1" screened phone will always last longer - but keep it in your pocket

and by the way we are discussing smartphones here and even at that the word "phones" in the name is becoming increasingly wrong - in 10 years time we will have a server in our pocket (about the size of a ciggie packet) - a foldable HD screen and a smart watch - the server will have no user interface at all, it will just provide the processing power for all the connected devices - that is were we are headed - you heard it here first

Viewing angles are not a deal breaker for me but it is important for reviewers. That reason ALONE should make Sony put better screens in their phones. So stupid of them, I can already see the Verge's Review

So Sony fails again in camera department, even when they have bigger sensor, BIONZ and people from Cyber-Shot working on it. I said it before, was called troll etc. but as usual I was right Just accept it, Sony Z1 camera is average. And don't start with the software thing, it might just slightly improve quality, not by a margin to drag Z1 cam from average to very good basket.

^^ha i didn't even search, but if the Z1's aren't even BRAND NEW condition, that's even worse. overpriced but if they are selling used for 50 quid more than what a brand new one costs, that tells you how much Z1 is desired..

Your wrong, they are £560 on Clove including VAT and £500 on Ebay and they are 1 day old so basically brand new, they have bought them and don't want them so people can save themselves £60 by buying off Ebay.

I bought a Xperia Z off Ebay for £380 within 4 weeks of it being released, I think the Z1's will be available on Ebay for around £400 by the end of October.

Lol! What's this Lumia fan roaming here?
Here's your £500 Z1. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co[....]nav=SEARCH&itemId=171130555489
"Sony Xperia Z1 - Black - Unlocked - MINT CONDITION"
It's clearly stated MINT CONDITION - AESTHETICALLY DAMAGED
Anyway, what are you trying to prove? Lumias have high value? Not here. Go to somewhere where WP can interact and pretend WP is very successful.

would anyone seriously buy a used Z1 on ebay like the same week it was officially launched - That just doesn't add up - some shady shiiiit going on there - but hey monkey go and buy it a give us a full report - looking forward to it

It's not damaged it doesn't have a mark on it! Read the description, mint condition means new!

And I'm not a lumia boy, only had a 920 which I no longer have, I don't even like WP so please don't presume things about me, thanks.

Hey Monkey - what happened to the 920 can you please explain

I don't like WP not enough decent apps for my liking, prefer Android and there's nothing shady about the Z1's on Ebay people have bought them and don't like them so they sell them don't see the problem.

@Tsepz
forget Z1, it doesn't exist for me. I was never so dissapointed from a Sony device like this.

Display is never so good like from the Ultra, the battery sucks, loudspeaker is very low and sounds bad, cam is nothing special in my eyes, design is never so sexy like ultra or even original Z, its thicker, heavier and looks bulky, its too big for a 5 incher, it should get at least 5,5" display to compete with note 3, again Sony logo is printed on foil, still no gorilla glass, should I say more?

I never understand why Ultra has better battery results than Z1. Same processor, same battery, same display technology?!
But 6,4" vs 5" - Z1 should beat Ultra easy in batterylife but it don't.

Everyone is entitled to their own informed opinion.

But to regurgitate the same old, already refuted arguments is annoying and DOES make you a troll.

Members with braincells are requested to ignore getting pulled into such arguments.

As the famous saying goes, you can't win with an ignorant. They'll pull you down to their level and beat you with experience.

As someone who was a hardcore SE fan? It actually disappoints me, a lot, seeing many of the same mistakes in what is now Sony Mobile. If you don't like it then you can always ignore what I post.

As someone who was a _hardcore_ SE fan, you should be very happy with the Z1. If it's not for you, that's ok. But the Z1 is making huge waves in the mobile market and creating tons of buzz. It will undoubtedly help Sony sell lots of units, increase profits, and continue on their quest to be top 3 manufacturer. As a former _hardcore_ fan, you should be excited about all the GREAT things being said about the Z1, instead of simply focusing on negatives.

But, like you said.. you _WERE_ a hardcore SE fan. You no longer are. Your loss (imho)

The great things being said are the same old, it looks pretty, nice materials etc... I've never worried about SE/Sony there, they've always been good at those, but what disappoints me seems to never get fixed, in my eyes those are signs a company that isn't growing a great deal much as they seem to repeat the same mistakes, and then the same excuses are regurgitated here.

As for making huge waves and buzz, I'll wait to see if that even translates to profit and upward movement for Sony, generating buzz hasn't been an issue even the rather average at its time Xperia S did that, but gaining actual movement and convincing other brand users to switch? THAT is a major issue.

Major issue is why are you posting here - the Z1 is currently the best Android smartphone available - that fact is undisputed - some people posting here say it could do this better or that better but even if it doesn't it's still better than anything else - funny that
