So, very much likely now Sony keep their trend of Premium/Pro line last for 18 months, Happy for that!
Redesign to fit Snapdragon X24 even better with Snapdragon X50 would very appreciated efforts.
Only Z/Z1/Z2/Z3/Z3+/Z5/XZ/XZs/XZ1 owners, fall for 6 months upgrade routine ever again.
At least my Kagura still running solid performance after opt-out Wi-Fi connection for damn whole weeks.

If next Premium shows up at MWC the 18 months cycle becomes 12.
Also the Compact might come now too.
They should keep the XA/L for CES and flagships for MWC.
And forget IFA.

It make no sense to skip IFA trade show, even European market is hitting hard by Huawei in last couple years
but Sony still hanging tight in there, I'm not sure if Developers center in Sweden still operating on these year?
Sony always (read me : always) use IFA trade show to make introduce of their new major products in European front,
not only smartphone but televisions to headphones and of course the PlayStation console game.
Sony Mobile division not a kind of company that's going to make standalone / private event anytime soon.

No idea about the screen aspect but they won't skip IFA, they may shift devices between so lets say Premium comes at MWC and perhaps Compact at MWC, the regular or other flagships will still be at IFA. Question is that if Premium and Compact come this month, what will come with the regular at IFA - will we see over 6 inches or something else? I honestly believe and others have told me that we are very close to folding/extendable screen devices hinting that they will be properly demoed this year. I think they will make a big deal about the 10 year and part of me believes that there will be an anniversary edition phone.
Also, there was a very strong belief that the XZ1 Compact would do well do to its specifications so I believe that they want to do it with the new design language and make itself a niche.
