Specs leak" (http://freeandroidsas.blogspot.co.il/2013/09/sony-xperia-z2-codenamed-avatar-is.html ) you will arrive to this site: http://techkiddy.blogspot.in/[....]z2c770x-codenamed-avatar.html# now you will see that the source for these rumors come from THIS thread - so basically the user that posted the Z2 "leak" here is the one responsible for these rumors. so all mobile sites base their rumors from this thread. don't they have other sources? in the other hand, writers just had to fill a page of news cause they get paid... how accurate the tumor is is another thing...

yes, but if you scroll here a lot of pages back (before the z1 was announced), a few weeks ago if i'm not mistaken, you can see who is the user that first posted these so called z2 spec (5.2 inch etc.) - if it was from his mind then why claim it's a leak? it's alright to write a wishlist but say it's a wishlist and not a leak...

I think this is where we can rely on a robust XR grading system for rumors, as anything posted in this site will be accepted by anyone.

I'm planning to refine the already implemented XR system on the next 2014 thread, how a certain rumor would be graded would depend from the conviction of the proven trustworthy guys here. I wouldn't count myself as one of them though what do you guys think?

was it from your mind or not?

btw, i just love tech, i'm not planning to buy a phone, unless my iphone 3gs stops working, i replace my phone usually every 5 years, so i assume one more year to go until it stops breathing i do know that my next phone is probably sony flagship as i love what sony offers, most likely Z2, but i'm not "waiting" for it.

XR1 = possibly fake rumors, very low chance of being real
XR2 = rumor from unknown sources
XR3 =50% chance it is correct
XR4 = rumor from known sources
XR5 = almost certainly correct!

wherein
X= Xperia
R= Rating

we rate a certain rumor according to the level of trust we have on the source that provided the info, usually sources who already proved themselves reliable and had a track record of at ~90% correct infos belongs on the XR4 and 5.

ramu already implemented the XR rating system in this thread, but the idea came from Sony Alpha Rumors. Canon/Fuji and 4/3rds also use them
