Yes, I read the post and do believe that but was I wrong.
I sent 3 messages since this post with 30 minutes apart but still no reply from you.
Are you just ignore old customer and try to impress new customer?

Every time I send to ericsony@unlocking.co.uk, I get the message that fail to deliver, so I send to both ericsony@unlocking.co.uk and info@unlocking.co.uk as well

Guys,
I've been in contact with Logosunlimited and the guy there says its better to flash a 10meg file to your phone.
Has anyone done this?
I've tried emailing Unlocking about getting credits and flashing but i have yet to get a reply from them.

I read somewhere else in the forum that its safer to use the 2 files, so i dont know which to do now!, any ideas?

Thanks for your help

Stu

After reading and participating in the discussion of this board, I decided to flash my T68m phone on my own.

I purchased 1 credit from unlocking.uk and used a the flash cable.

After having some trouble connecting to the server, Unlocking.uk helpped me out and I have successfully upgaded my phone to a T68i using the R5C001 firmware found on this forum.

The phone works fine and it is very easy to do if you follow all the instructions posted on the board.

@stuburgess
so far, I have two reason to flash it seperately.
1. If you flash the 10MB, there will a "a chance" to get 4 locks locked, as told by an expert.
2. If you are flashing 8MB+2MB, and you get failed in flashing AVR, you will be able to flash the phone again. but I don't know whether flashing 10MB can let you flash again.

And, one more uncertain thing. When you guys finished flashing AVR, you will see some messages, right? it is about "restoring security setting..."something like that. I think this may be a key point, but I'm not an expert, can't interpret this...

Hi all, and thanks to waikincheng and funks for their input. I've read the thread, unlocked my phone, ordered a service cable (from www.cellphoneshop.net so I will tell everyone which one I get), and as soon as it arrives I will buy a log and download the EricsClient from http://www.unlocking.co.uk and upgrade my t68 to a t68i. I intend to use the R5C001 file. My question is this:

My SIM card is from VoiceStream (USA) and my service provider is t-mobile (since VoiceStream changed their name). Will my data profiles be deleted during the upgrade, and if so, is there any way that I can back them up (even using pen and paper) if they are currently locked?

Cheers

You shouldn't have any problems with VoiceStream Data and WAP GPRS accounts as they are public info.. The WAP profile settins are also public info - check howardforums.com under "T-mobile", I'm sure you can snag them from there and re-enter them..

I'm not sure if the T68i backup utility from christensson.org backups up built in profiles.. but it might..
