@whentheleveebreaks, buy the P990 now if you want it. you'll get a good 8+ months use before you can get this iphone so it seems

It cant be any worse than the P990i.Apple products until now havent really suffered from early hasty beta releases. And whatever prblems they have encountered in their production line has always been solved adiquately.

It cant be any worse than the P990i.Apple products until now havent really suffered from early hasty beta releases. And whatever prblems they have encountered in their production line has always been solved adiquately.
They never had an actual full blown OS on it before, neither wifi, EDGE, etc...please donīt compare, these will raise issues never faced by ipods
And the first Nanos were so good...not
Anyway, i foresee that when Paris Hilton appears with a pink iphone, then it will be the end of Nokia and SE lol

Im not making a comparison, barely making a prediction. From the user expirience ive had with SE products. Last 3 SE phones ive owned (P990i,k750i,k800i) How long has SE been in the business? For that matter how long has Nokia been in the business? What im trying to say is that they get away with releasing betas all the time and my last expirience with the p990i taught me not to buy a smartphone from SE for a while.
Anyhow...full blown OS/X interface cant be any worse than the crap that SE and Nokia bring to the table. I welcome them to the arena!

If it's all about content, apple have the whole thing sewn up.
It does need an FM-Radio to increase iTunes sales, like the sony track ID function.
If you can through iTunes, automatically download a database based on the town / place you are visiting. Download clips of the new albums released over night, then you can preview.
Streetmaps, travel timetables, daily news , cinema trailers / leisure info. Maybe just have RSS updates to information if needed. To keep data at a minumum when actually on network.
Video calling / VOIP Wifi seems like a silly omission.
Should have had GPS, but with a iPod charger with built in gps there is no reason it cant do it.
If Apple were very clever, they would have had fingerprint reader for security or some other tech.

I would but, i want to have my contract up when the iPhone is released, if i upgraded today on Orange, it would cost my to cancel my contract.
Wonder what networks will have the iPhone in the UK?
