What it lacks is just simple things that I like doing.
For example:
If you want to delete a contact on the iPhone - you have to use iTunes.
If you want to delete a picture on the iPhone - you have to use iTunes.
If you want to use a ringtone on the iPhone - you have to use iTunes and pay once for the song, then another time to 'cut' it up.
If you want to share photos with friends - you have to use iTunes.
It's just so restrictive that iTunes is the only thing that you can use to access the phone. And whilst it has a great web browser, without a wifi connection, it's useless - and most of the time people are on the move without access to wireless hotspots.
What about the lack of games, applications, and video recording? Sure you could hack the phone, but as it stands, the iPhone lacks so many 'small' things, that it would become frustrating to use.
I'd be waiting for the SE Maria...

For all the silly limitations the iPhone has, it should be called the iSuck.
I mean, a cellphone is all about doing things on the fly right? Lol, well why did Apple make it so all the editing is done with iTunes? Talk about convenience...
Anyway, now that I can dive deep into my K800i with FAR, my K800i is everything I need, and then some. I have the iPhone's menu icons and theme, so technically, I have a Sony Ericsson K800i iPhone

I'm going to say what's said in these forums millions of time over but level headed people....as long as you are happy with your choice of phone then that's all that matters. I'm sure you have totally different requirements from a phone than I do and therefore the iphone is not for you. But to string posts together saying isuck and the like is what really lets this forum down.
I have had SE's for the last 9 or 10 phones I've owned and can say that until now, for me there has been nothing to rival them.
Try using one for a week and I'd be surprised if you didn't fall in love with it, I was the same but until you try it you can't understand how unique the device really is.

Alan you said that the iPhone doesn't basically meet our requirements ? What do you mean , dude everyone wants to send/recieve files through bluetooth , have nice ringtones , and download games and applications , but iPhone doesn't let do any of these things , it does let us do something , and the only way to do those things is with iTunes . Apple has like restricted the phone , the only thing we can use is ITUNES...
