They're just trying for you to withdraw your order...
The truth is they have to honor it!

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to you. We don't offer any mobile phone for free in our Pay and Go services. There was a problem with our online store where some Pay and Go mobile phones were ordered free of charge. This problem has now been resolved and all such orders have now been cancelled. If you want to place an order for free mobile phone, you'll need to choose a phone from our Pay Monthly services. Your patience is highly appreciable in this matter and I again sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

It is often assumed that if an item is wrongly priced the retailer is obligated to sell it at the price shown. This is not the case, the shopkeeper can sell it at the correct price and, of course, you can refuse to buy it. You are however entitled to report the incident to the Trading Standards Officer.
@Tezz34
Think you might have an uphill battle with O2 if they try to invoke the Sale of Goods Act (see above) though of course as it says you can take the matter up with Trading Standards.Did this with PC World an won!

Well its offer and acceptance, I ordered the phone there is not a contract created untill they acceped it as they sent the conformation email that suggest they have accepted the offer of selling the phone at whatever price so once a conformation email is sent they have created a legally binding contract thats what i assumed once they sent a conformation email a contract was created, however i have already deleted the conformation email so i cannot really prove it ah well no loss. btw i only do a law module at uni so dont know if im rite.

i have had a reply to my email stating the terms & conditions and mentioning watchdog.
they are still saying there was a fault, the o2 ice is out of stock and i cant have it at the zero price, although they have told me i can have it for £29.99 which is half price.
question now, do i accept this (dont really want to pay for one, would be given away to family) or do i keep pushing for the free price?
