I would probably try right clicking the executable, select compatibility and chose anothe OS, such as Windows 2000.
However, consider this: people are mentioning that the program gets flagged as a trojan/virus. If this is the case its likely that your AV scanner is terminating the program when started.
Try disabling the AV software, download the client once again and run it.

Load up another credit. In the meantime, do a full reset with the newly flashed unit and check the CDA. If it returns with a single entry then go ahead and redo the CDA change. If not, flash with SEUS to remove the dual CDA but be careful to its a valid CDA first.
I would suspect that performing a flash again via KK Client will incur a third CDA entry and this is unknown territory with the phone and SEUS.

Hi guys,
This is as detail as i can be.
1) make sure battery is fully charged
2) open kkclient
3) fill in login & password details (click check account to check you credit balance)
4) format internal drive
5) master reset
6) take out simcard
7) replace battery

check change cda box in kkclient with the CDA162007/1 typed in it
9) click flash phone
10) press c button
11) connect usb
12) when kkclient reads "phone connected", release c button
13) kkclient will read phones' info
14) cda change done!
15) for some reason, kkclient will dissappear/shut down right after (in some cases it doesn't) but this does not effect anything
16) unplug usb
17) replace simcard
18) restart phone (at this time you will see 2 cda lines)
19) master reset phone again
20) flash with seus (seus detects phone as world 1 generic)
21) done! (as for now, you will only have 1 cda line as it should be)
But i did another master reset and ran seus again just to be sure.
so there you go...hope this helps. good luck!
Edit:
Disclaimer: I will not be held responsible if it does not work for some of you. At least it did for me and for some. Just trying to lend a hand here.

Just to add to that very thorough list: -
- You will need to hit the "FLASH PHONE" button to enable the CDA change
- The software did not shutdown (in my case)
- Master reset after flash is not really necessary. Just go directly to SEUS.

Thank you for the info Popolou.
a) In case you missed it, the FLASH PHONE part is in no. 9.
b) The software did shut down on me, although it's great if it doesn't.
c) I did a master reset just to be sure of a super clean install.
But then again, that's just me being paranoid i guess. Cheers.

Well, I've managed to change the CDA on my Vodafone P990 despite having little or no idea of what I was doing! I downloaded the Client, Hermione and USB drivers but all I actually needed to do was start the Client, hold the C button and insert the USB and the Client found the phone and did its thing after I entered the new CDA number. I did not install either the USB or the Hermione drivers. I've now updated the firmware via SEUS and have no issues. I need more time to see if there has been any improvement in performance though.
A few things to point out are:
1. When updating via SEUS, the process would not get beyond holding down C and plugging in the USB. Nothing happened until I closed the KK Client application which I had left open.
2. Vodafone remnants remain scattered around the phone if you look hard enough. e.g. The Vodafone folder (containing stuff like Sport+, My Vodafone+, Entertainment+, etc) in Tools is still there as well as the locked Internet Accounts (Contract MMS, PAYT Internet, PAYT WAP, PAYT MMS, PAYT Internet, etc). I can confirm that I am on CDA162007/1 R4B03 and the Vodafone startup and shutdown have all gone. Have any others noticed this?
3. Updating the firmware has made no difference to the amount of RAM available which remains at about 14.8 mb for me. Having said that I've just checked again and it seems to have gone up to 15.2 mb.
4. It's probably unrelated but when I tried to reinstall Swiss Manager Pro and Tube 2 I got some Runtime Error message despite restarting the PC and the phone. This problem then seemed to clear itself after 20 minutes. Definitely got me worried though!!
Anyway, for all those out there like me, I would like to assure you that the process is pretty simple so take the plunge if you feel the need to have the latest firmware.
