I've tried 1200 characters (using copy & paste and typing a few characters afterwards) and didn't get any error message...

What about memory leaks? That, to me, was the biggest issue with the phone. Is this any better?

That depends who you ask.
I still have a leak from what seems to be Messaging ( the only app running in the background on my phone ) and some other users have reported the same on the my-symbian thread.
Then again, there are a couple of lucky souls who report no leak.

no problem..
10.000 characters (long enough now ?

), still no errors...
(closed flip afterwards and successfully saved to drafts...)

Uff... So it seems that there's no email bug with long emails! Nobody else's confirming this? I hope, I also work a lot with mailing.

Well, I have noticed something else which may be related. I was trying to copy the contents of a rather large note into a QuickWord document. If I select the whole text and "copy" the notes application seems to copy the selection to the clipboard. Then when I paste into QuickWord there is again a considerable delay during which the data should be copied. This also ends successfully (!) but there is no data in QuickOffice. I can copy/paste smaller chunks so it's not the process. The whole data should be a couple of hundred KBs but apparently the buffer size of the clipboard is much smaller.

I'm sorry makbil, what is clipboard?
And please confirm - does that mean that you cannot copy a big text file from Notes to Quickoffice? You have to do it in smaller parts? THAT WOULD be a real s...!
