The latest BB version doesnt allow to change/personalize inbox name, it defaults to my bb email address, i already tried changing from BIS but remains the same.

certainly I never do, and I have no problem setting timezone with the same firmware as you
I just install everything fresh from the memory card. The initial startup always gets my operator settings so I then only have email to setup

Seems the arrow and the backspace keys repeat when you hold them in now.
(There isn't anywhere SE lists the firmware- changes, btw?)

My network settings didn't install automaticly after the update so I had to restore settings and contacts from my previous backup. Will a master reset clear all settings changed by the restore or do I have to update my P1 again?

I backed up from the original firmware and everythigns been going fine.

I have a P1i that was brought back from hong kong.
I live in the uk and there doesnt seem to be a firmware update available yet.
I cant read some texts and sony have said it just needs a software update.
Any suggestions? Also, im using an apple mac.

but many people post here with issues when they have done that and almost always the issue is resolved by master resetting and starting fresh
