Let me guess. Either you must be playing these files in your beloved WALKMAN phone or you are using some crappy headphones.

Let me guess, the standard headphones are ok with both phones..
hpm-83(:se: headphones) are -id say-
's best compared to other
ones - i use these - as they do sound great produce great sound and quality, and many of my friends have agreed with me.
but for both phones i suggest using
your favourite headphone brand ( i like skull candy and sony) as they will be better -quite possibly better then hpm-83 even-
so we'll leave it at that shall we..
and n82s sounds fine - if you get one that sounds shit (same goes for k850) return it as its shizzle and quite possibly damaged(

YOU hear no difference then thats fine for you.
96kbps aac and 128kbps mp3 are similar..to an extent(encoding and all)
and thats smart what you do -space management-
as long as your happy mate thats what counts.

N82 any day. I had a play with one once and the store showed the pictures quality on one of their screens and it was fab. K850i is great for features but its not upto the task its failure for SE that phone. I prefer Nokia anyway and to what you guys were disputing on i also from experience say Nokia phones have better audio too.

As much as I hate to say it - the N82 is a far better performer than the K850i can ever be!
Better optics coupled with a further advanced Colour algorithm make for a more effective shooter.
