It doesn’t matter how people usually watching the pics, if we want to talk about quality there are BIG differences between c902 and C901 for example.
With 5, 8 or 12 mp. camera i like to see the details in full size, if someone want to show the pics to own friends in resized size an old Samsung D900/600 is good enough.
So i agree with AbuBasim, except for one thing: you have forgot the Renoir

There is certanly a sientific value of making full size comparision (at least as long as it is same size that is compared) and of course the human curiosity is hard to dismiss. But I still don't see what practical use such comparison have for an average joe ?

will be cool to try this new shooter (if its comes). wondering how daylight quality is ? (let say c901 use a samsung sensor who behaves similar as k770, wondering if it have the same milky colour-spectra then, (should be awesome if it had same thick colours as c902/w902, k800).

arne. i really agree with you, who (in Gods name) print out or watch their phone pics in full size, (well, this with k750 might do it)....otherwise, it make no sense.

ps. does anyone really know which countries c901 comes to ?

well i hate people who say great picture quality and then when i see full size it looks terrible, i use dslr camera and i know what is real quality of images, and i will always look at full size, its only benchmark of image qulity, you cant say its awsome quality(like plankis), and when you look at full size its a awful.

he he. same old happy vipera, allways with positive quotes.

you say you use your (fabulous) dslr camera and know what real image quality is. well, good for you, at least someone who have everything under controll.

by the way. do you agree that different firmwares can do "big" changeovers on its full size quality ?

let me give you some examples:

newer firmware, (very little noise

older firmware, more noise

(I really i dont care that much how my cellphones performs in full size, but i care when people say "oh that camera is crap, its sooo noisy in full size...bla..bla")

lowlight shots ? give me a break, that c901 picture is hardly any lowlight.

the second one i posted is taken in lower light and have better noise level and quality...(both c901 and c902 is iso.64, just for the record)

How about comparing pictures at the sizes you are actually going to use in your everyday life. I doubt there are too many average joes out there with family and friends watching full size 8 or 12 MP pictures with magnification glasses.

You don't need magnifying glasses if you print at full size
And average joe is probably not the type of customer SE is targeting with their high-MP camphones. From their C905 announcement:

Upload photos to your own online blogsite or print your photos with fantastic resolution, up to A3 size

How many of you believed this marketing hype and actually tried this yourself?

I agree about the C902 producing good colors. If SE can combine this with the mild NR/sharpening treatment (as it seems in Mizzle's C901 samples) then they may have a winner.

why should we care about average joe only? some of us want to know a bit more, we are not high-tech junkies, we only want to know a bit more about current technology. in comparisions I only want to show different things in old and new phones. dear average joe don't pay attention on junkies posts
