SYNN

Not 100% sure, but it seems to be the same module as the one in the C905/ W995. It wouldn't make financial sense to make 2 different modules for the same resolution. (The one in the C905 IS the 8MP Exmor).

Is it the new Exmor CMOS 8.1 megapixel? cos the new one would be available in feb 2009, so C905 can´t have it. and not forgeting that Aino takes VGA videos, but neither C905 nor W996 can.
So what do you think? does Aino have the new Exmor CMOS?

Am I the only to see some W595 design elements in the Aino?! Maybe the colour??

The colour more or less, but the curvy edges surely ring the W595 bell.

As to the AINO PS3 connectivity, it sounds good without a doubt, seems to work, as shown in the Thurseday's presentation video, but my point is that many people who would otherwise consider the AINO may not own a PS3 and the fact that the phone sports such a feature will raise its price considerably. So, it may not be the hit very much need to stay afloat, despite the handset's other features and good looks that could contribute to its success. They could have put a Xenon flash and a more touch friendly UI instead, which could have made it a true younger sibling of Satio with the well-loved feature phone interface, a lower price tag and consequently broader consumer target group.

Cheers!

Agree, imagine of Se gave it full integrations support with just Xbox 360 that would be a shocker

That's the announcement of commercial availability of the 12 MP Exmor (The smaller one next to it is the 8 MP one). Isn't that around when the C905 hit the shelves too? Someone with inside info can perhaps throw some light on this.

Also, Video recording doesn't have much to do with sensor design. Keep in mind that even a full HD video frame is several times smaller than 8 MP. It's more of a processor/ programming thingy.

this is how I see it. Aino has A3 platform and Exmor module. Otherwise, what's the point of the changes SE is making. Different looks, Names instead of numbers and free loading dock. I think this is the first step of Ericsson leafing SE. I'll say: go for it sony!

Yes Synn, i know that, but i think it has to do with the hardware and propriety of the cam module too.

Right.

It's not like they announced Playstation integration or anything...

Why do people revel in doomsday predictions? Why can't we just be normal consumers for once?

Because it takes a couple of months with the fanboys of SE to finally stop making it seem liike for SE the shit hit the fan. Seriously this is getting a tad out of hand. To me at least SE has just redeemed themselves quite well and with an announcement next week of possibly non EU phones for the summer some more redeeming can be done. Up until now no shit has hit the fan. And I doubt we will ever get to that point for a while.
