Mine easily lasts me the day but then I don't use social media as much as you probably do.
Give it a few charge/re-charge cycles before forming an opinion.

^ someone on WPcentral posted pics of their 930 starting to melt a bit.. so be aware
If you have a look on WP central the OP stated that the back cover had warped and had the appearance of being melted. To be fair from the pictures it just looks like the back cover has come unclipped and lifted and that point. Something that shouldn't have happened anyway. I love my 930 but I'm on my third handset now.

Yeah mine does get a bit toasty at the bottom right corner was thinking it could be used as a portable stove. Anyway battery is still poor it tends to drop at a rate that worries me like after ten minutes off charge is already at 92%. I don't run Facebook app in the background I turn only What's App on now.

Apps that I allow to run in the background at all times are :
1st for fans
Awesome Lock (news, weather calendar and sports team info)
Metweather
News
Simple Calendar
WP Central
along with 4 emails syncing and at present I am really pleased with my battery life. As I said mine does drop very quickly from 100% down to 90% then it slows down. If I remember correctly from my Symbian days it was the other way about and then the battery meter used to stay at 100% for ages and then drop like a stone. Seems like Nokia has always had an issue with battery charge measurements.

Similar thing used to happen on Lumia 800 but I never get this issue on cheaper Lumia phones they always seem more reliable.

just got the Lumia 930, my preliminary review is:
Good shit:
-Feels very nice, sturdy.
-Design is cool
-Screen is gorgeous
-Phone feels very very fast
Negative side:
-signal reception is shit. only 2 bars of 4G whether in the old 1020 I used to get full bars.
-gets hot easily (when charging through Qi or downloading stuff in 4G)
-nano sim, i hate it
Worst:
=Camera is not up to my expectations. I mean, I have used the 1520 which supposedly has the same camera optics and sensor but the camera in my 930 has lots of noise and not up to my expectations, I though it would have been better, specially after using the 1520 (which its camera is very good)
Not sure if I'm missing an update or what. Today has been cloudy as hell so not sure if this is a phone for "sunny" days only.
If anybody has an advise, please do tell.

I find the reception better than the poor reception I got on the 1520. I manage to get great 3G/4G on Three everywhere on it. Camera, well it is not as vibrant as the 1520 for some reason maybe needs an update. I find the view finder a little dark at times the exposure is not accurate. I managed to get good pictures from it but I always do with my hands
What I do find with the camera is daylight shots lack a little contrast like this one I took
The Lumia 520 has better contrast oddly

@fbloise this shot I took on 1.6 seconds exposure is definately not noisy
it may be noisy a little on standard night mode but using longer exposure it's fine. Strangely compared to the Galaxy S5 images I find the Lumia 930 images a little flat

This takes awful photos, omg! i went out last night, geez! so much noise. I hope they fix it with some update. This reminds me of the 925 camera.
Nowhere near the 1520, let alone the 1020 or 808.
