It does't matter how many techblogs missreport about new version of Note4.
They have never seen a real device. Isn't it?
In Korea, Korean carrier KT already started to exhibit new version of Note4.
And as you can see in the picture that i posted, new Note4(N916) has exynos5433.
It's picture of REAL Device.

HTC can release their new device with sd810. But they will experience serious heat problem.
As I told you before samsung internally call SD810 as FireDragon.
Also I wonder when FireDragon Meets HTC's idiot quality hardware design.

One M8's hardware design really sucks.

What will happen if Sony can't solve the heat issues associated with the 810? Release a none IP certified flagship?

There's other options, like increasing the thickness of the device to allow heat pipe and use a metallic back also to help with that... the thickness increase can also add a higher capacity battery... but there's a lot of engineering required to do so specially with a sealed device...

even with the metallic back, if the heat was too much then there will be a problem as the user will feel the heat more making the usage uncomfortable... If even Samsung is saying it's hairdryer with their un-sealed designs ( unless they're thinking of continuing the IP with other devices after S5 )

but the problem is adding these will mean extra 2mm maybe at least making the device almost 9-10mm thick which will be not cool

A late Merry Christmas from me, too!
And all the best to Xperia Junkie for this thread!

I really want to own a Sony Xperia Z1/2/3, but there were always some things holding me back

Regarding Z4, it's S810 or bust!

Today I heard that sony decide to use sd810 in z4 because they have no other option.
They will lower cpu clock to solve crazy heat so there will be almost no difference in cpu power compare to sd805.
But SD810 supports 64bit so at least one improvement:)

Less than a week left until CES, the calm before the MWC storm? CES has never been a major show for mobile news, but I think we were a little bit spoiled in the past:

2011: Xperia Arc
2012: Xperia S and Xperia Ion, also first press conference as Sony Mobile
2013: Xperia Z and Xperia ZL
2014: Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z1S
2015: ?

The highlight got to be 2013 and the “bottom” 2014, even though the announcement of the Xperia Z1 Compact made me very happy. But yeah, only the global variant of the Z1 f and the US variant of the Z1, no world premieres. Seems like 2015 just continues the trend.

So we have had at least one new model announced at every CES so far.

Does anyone know what Xperia Smart Drive is? Is this on current models?
