Samsung Galaxy S6 beats the competition in TomsGuide’s real-life usage speed test
Abhijeet M. / 14 mins ago
Samsung did a great job of fine-tuning its software on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, and multitasking issues aside, both phones are among the fastest on the market as a result. Of course, the Exynos 7420 processor, which is more efficient and powerful than any of the chipsets being used by smartphone manufacturers in 2015, can take equal credit. Both the processor and optimized software come together to create the best software experience we have ever seen on a Samsung smartphone, and in a speed test carried out by TomsGuide, the Galaxy S6 managed to best the competition in almost all real-life use cases that were part of the test.
The test included things like loading a PDF file, opening the camera app, Wi-Fi speed, and performance in games, in addition to benchmarks that tested the graphics, memory, storage and overall performance. Except for the camera opening time, the Galaxy S6 managed to score the first position in all the non-benchmark instances. The LG G4 was slightly faster at opening the camera, which is a good indication that constantly keeping the camera process in memory – like the Galaxy S6 does – might not be enough to make the camera app open quickly all the time.

Samsung engineer shares how the Galaxy S6 found wireless charging success
By Stephen Schenck |
June 25, 2015 5:53 PM
With yesterday’s announcement of the WPC adopting new high-power, high-speed support for the Qi wireless charging standard, we found ourselves reflecting on just how much progress such tech has made over the course of the past year. A huge component to the growing acceptance and availability of wireless charging solutions has been Samsung’s decision to bake the feature right in to its latest flagships, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Now Samsung engineer Se-Ho Park is sharing some new insight into what led the company down that path, and where it plans to go from here.
While Park acknowledges past wireless charging efforts on Samsung devices, in his mind these early attempts were far too limited in terms of expense to implement and the negative impact on device thickness. With the Galaxy S6, Samsung was able to make its wireless charging system thin enough to be practical as an integrated feature by way an innovative charging coil design, combining coils of varying thicknesses with magnetic shielding material. That led to a system that’s just one-third as thick as the coil design on the Galaxy S5’s optional wireless charging backplate.
Park refers to a study suggesting that attempts to confirm out observation that the wireless charging market’s in the middle of a huge expansion this year, blossoming as hundreds of thousands of new public charging terminals emerge. Samsung intends to help encourage such growth, and is considering its options when it comes to partnerships that could further develop this wireless charging infrastructure. From the sound of things, Samsung intends to keep right on embracing wireless charging in future devices.

Samsung paid to represent itself more powerful than the Sony.
But the real user's considered better presents what is really going on.
Sorry for bad English
