@amirprog
Good information there really
I don't know if I like thinner display when it's so much more fragile than let's say Galaxy phones.
Too many people are complaning about the easilly crackable display.

@McKinley
I agree with you.
To me the first interesting thing explained there is that they say that the premium will have the same battery life as z5 because pixle complement will actually reduce battery life, the bigger battery and memory on display (only z5 and z5p have memory on display layer).

Indeed thinner display is not so ideal.. Reparation cost of new 4k panel neither..

so it looks like scaling will be from 2K to 4K as oppose to FHD to 2K suggested earlier?

tougher and thicker glass shell can help. Not sure what Sony is using now for their glass, I know they don't use gorilla glass.

Only Android M (that is 6.0 and up) will support native 4K resolution.

So unless GSM arena had Z5 Premium running Android M, we do not know if UI will run at native 4K resolution.

Tougher glass would help indeed, but I'm still skeptical lol

Read again guys, the article is about Video Out, in plain English connecting the phone to TV or external Display using HDMI adapter, not about the on-device display...

pretty sure its confirmed scaling in place, no 4K UI. Any new 4k phones that come out next year will probably use the same solution.
