it seems to still be available for pre-order when I look at the sony site. I didn't and couldn't go through the whole process though because I don't have a MY SONY account and can't make one without a Japanese address.
My hope is that they will have plenty of 16gb models by mid-august (ahead of schedule) to purchase at the physical store.
Looks like you finally will be able to buy the 1 VII 16GB.
News from Sony Store Japan today:
"RAM 16GB/ROM 512GB *Sales will resume on Friday, September 12, 2025"

haha. $45 is a lot for a case! the spigen one I am looking at is $15 USD from amazon US.
of course it is basic TPU with no stand or anything. so there's that. it's a good case though.
Du you mean Spigen Rugged Armor? It´s $15.99 now.
I just bought a couple of that case and it´s my absolutely favorite now. It feels more solid than the Sony original case.

yes. it's what i used for my 1ii and looks to be the best case for the 1vii. it does stretch after awhile and needs replacement. Also, has the downside of covering up the pretty color of the phone.

have any of you with the VII tried any magnetic charging cases? i'm curious if they work well since they are designed after the fact and not built in like iphones.
i came across some nice looking ones from devilcase (kind of expensive) but also some cheaper alternative cases on ebay. Also a bit tempted to try printing or casting my own case.

I haven't embraced that modernity yet, I'm old school.
Maybe a little further ahead, or for the next Xperia, 1 VIII I'll give it a try.
I charge my phones with the Sony original charger XQZ-UC1, I have 4 of them.
Devilcase, do they ship outside Taiwan? I can´t find any Europe site selling them.
Are the cases made of carbon fiber and Magsafe compatible?
