Think of it this way.. The online updater ONLY updates OEM P900 phones as of now... Specifically: that means the existing firmware on the phone must have come directly from SE and has not been modified by another carrier (ie Orange,etc..) or contain Dev. revision firmware... I can state this with 100% certainty as unfortunate as it be for some to bear.. The rationale behind this is explained throughout several threads on this forum... Just accept it as not being possible right now...

Yes... it turns blue when a GPRS enabled network is present.
Anyway after the second "master reset" without any apparent reason my GPRS started working again. Now I'm having some problems with MMS but I will investigate further. I think that P900 firmware still has some bugs, hope they will fix them in future release.

With all this downloading, we surely need some protection for our phones. Who knows, we might get some malicious virus that makes international calls during midnight. Then it will be a big surprise when we get our phone bills.

Atter my initial battery issues (detailed elsewhere in the thread) the update worked fine for me (oem phone from cpw) , sw version R3C after update). BT (now verion R5D) seems alittle less responsive (not as quick to detect devices, sometimes doesn't detect them at all when they are right next to the phone, whereas it did before - I sometimes have trouble detecting the bf's n-gage after the update but it was ok before). I've not noticed much else with regards to performance.
I guess that the whole online update thing is a process that needs serious ironing out still - if the problems people are posting about here are anything to go by.

To be fair to SE it is a new service and like any new service, a shad just been mentioned baove, it will have a few teething problems. I'm sure they will get it sorted out eventually.

I tried upgrading my P900 and on the first try it showed 100% when updating the phone, but then suddenly it showed "communication error, please reinsert your battery", so I did, the phone seemed to work ok. So I think "well it showed 100% maybee its ok". Suddenly I noticed that the videorecordingfunction didnt work. It just wouldnīt record, it freezes or resets my phone. The GPRS wouldnt work either. Then after a bit of detective work I realized that the updater hadnīt updated the PHONE firmware. It was the same as before. It did update the ORGANIZER-firmware but not the PHONE-firmware. So I tried to update it again, then it failed at 93% and again and again. After a bit more detectivework I think that it just wouldnīt update the PHONE firmware. So what did I do? I had to get proffesional help. But THEY couldnīt update it either. So now my P900 is gone to some other place. I hope I will get it back soon.

I was of the opinion that this update would resolve the problem of the contact list not coming up on the HBH-200 Bluetooth Headset, but it still does not. Anyone got their's to work after doing the update?
