Not sure about "quick search" but i have seen numerous posts regarding large phone book entries and navigation. I can confirm that the latest firmware from Multiserver now gives you the ability to search by first, second and third letter in phone book - pretty clever as it does not mess with previous search patterns - well happy here

I've r2a041 and there are 100+ bugs.
restarting sometime
not playing mp3
dissapearing two items in the main many somtimes
second line work bad (the other party not hearing me)
seeing not real numbers in some contacts
dissapearing numbers from contacts
deleting one number causes sometime deleting other one too
and too much more.... I'm so tired of this...
I really like to upgrade my phone, but how can I register to total multiserver and do that. Please forget my local service center. Today after I call there they asked me, what is firmware? After switching telephone line to other one, he explained me, that my problems are not usual for my phone, but they will make upgrade for me for 20EUR, but not telling me what kind(version) of firmware.
And I was disapointed. So please help me.

Ok.. I have read all the posts in this thread and others related to R2AA.
I had flashed my phone today to R2AA from R2L today morning and it did not take me long to realise that R2AA has some bugs which could be more serious than the previous firmware releases.
1. some mp3 ringtones become protected (corrupted) and cannot be deleted. In addition, the file size becomes 0 kb. 2 of my ringtones were affected like this.
2. In the "More" link where there is an option for turning infrared on for 10 minutes, infrared is on for unlimited duration. Mine went on for more than 30 minutes till i switched IR off.
3. File Manager in Sony Ericsson PC suite is not compatible with Release R2AA. it just refuses to detect the phone. I had to rely on free file managers like fma.
4. the message tone keeps beeping at times (intervals of 6 hours) without any reason.
5. the call response is >1 second irrespective of presence of picture or not.
SO stick on to R2L.
ok.. i am back from the se service centre and they flashed my k700 back to R2L.
i still cannot delete the corrupted ringtones (says that it is protected or pre-defined) after switching over to R2L. However, the rest of the problems have vanished.

I have to disagree with you on some of these points
1) Ive put lots of mp3's onto my phone and never had this problem
2) Mine turned off after 10 Minutes...
3) Not tried the SE connectoivity suite... I preffer FMA and had no problems
4)Never had this happen before 0.o.... Strange
5) Not really took any notice
Very strange...

hey guys i have the R2L firmware and so far i've experienced one bug -
the phone randomly starts up when i'm typing a text message. I dont know when or why but it happens.
Same goes when i'm trying to enter into my rediffmail account via WAP.
my id is arun__2001 and i've stored this in 'my words'. After i type arun_ , the various words in t9 appears and when i select my id from the list and press ANY key, it restarts !

R2AA003 has a shortcut for changing the "Subject" of MMS messages. After you have chosen the person to send the MMS to, you simply hit the "More" button and the "Subject" option now is included directly in that pop up menu. With earlier versions you had to chose "Advanced" from that menu and go even deeper down the menus...
Since the text is copied from the content of the MMS to the subject automatically (that's not very smart) you often want to manually edit the subject your self. Now they made that easier.

hi guys...i have k700 and a r2l001 firm.
1.i've noticed a new bug that's very annoying
the camera video mode(preview and recording) is very slow(choppy)!
but you can fix that if you turn the night mode on and off again!!
2.main menu scrolling is also choppy
but still r2l001 is the best out now

I see that the TOTAL MultiServer team have put the R2L001 firmware files back in their download area.
It is interesting to note that the old K700_Decustomize_Firmware.K7S has not been made available though.
I wonder whether or not people who use the old files and v1.32 to debrand will be able to use the official

update site?
Cheers,
Col.
