hello friends,

i new this thread. i want 2 use internet from my prepaid card. i ve a nokia 3220 connected with the PC. here in ahmedabad WAP only plan is available for rs. 99 per month and mobile office is rs. 10 per day. if i subscribe 4 WAP only plan then is it possible 2 surf net through PC as well as through Opeara mini? the free gprs scheme doesn't work 4 me. i get access denied error with all sites except 4 at. live. both in PC and WAP browser.

I would recommend u to go for Wap only plan if u dont mind spendin 100 bucks a month. It is called Net on Phone down here in south. i have been a subscriber of net on phone for the past 15 months and till now i havent paid a penny. I was never charged and my account never got deducted. now net on phone service is stopped in tamilnadu. So u may also get lucky like me... yes, u can surf using it on a pc with same free gprs settings. Opera mini and most internet enabled java programs will work except a few (moby explorer, quick im+, pegasus). Also, u will be able to use instant messaging and syncml on phone which is not possible with free gprs trick.

if u dont wanna spend anything and just wanna surf free net on pc, then use free gprs trick. opera mini will work but with some tricky way and most other java stuff may not work.

plz help . I am using airtel live pune and i used all setting in this thread.
like AT+CGDCONT=2,"IP","airtelfun.com" and others. I have created 2 data accounts as well as mentioned in this thread.
my model is nokia 6020 and it does not responds on *99***2# even after configuring all settings and 2 accouts. it shows "hardware failure error"

plz help

thanks indeed. free gprs is not working 4 me. i m getting access denied error. following ur advice, i ve sent command to activate WAP only plan. CC told me that it will b activated in 24 hours. hope they haven't blocked all ports on that plan and appl. like yahoo messenger work.

sorry but that AT command is incorrect coreect 1 is

AT+CGDCONT=2, "IP","airtelfun.com","",0,0

Yes they do block all ports other than 8080 on wap only plan and yahoo messenger will not work. i mainly use yahoo messenger via www.meebo.com

Hello, 99 pm. wap plan is now activated on my card. But i still get access denied error when i access any website on PC. Neither does opera mini work. Should i try using some other proxy than .200.99:8080 ? This message was posted from a Nokia

finnaly i had the WAP connection working on PC. i just forgot to change initialiazation string for modem settings on the PC. is it possible to use flashget though .99:8080 proxy? thanks again.

it cost 170/month in mumbai
