Hey there, thks for trying it out. For the radio speaker thingy, which means after adjusting all the sound to "half-slient", I will have to adjust the sound back manually if I unpluck the ear piece?

Btw, when I click on the volume button I will be able to choose the different icon (E.g alarm, Multimedia etc) to adjust from and at the bottom of the screen it has a check box which states "slient" mode. What difference does it make?

Edited: I have tried and it do not make any difference at all. It will be faster if we choose slient rather than adjust the volume manually. Sigh!!!! In gist, this phone cannot have both radio speaker on and slient ringtone at the same time.

Opps sorry, for the inputting of names instead of numbers in the "To" field, it is only applicable for my Samsung U600. For example, if I key in "Ric", it will search for all the "Ric" in my contact (E.g Ricard) and then a drop down list will appear. I think this is a smart device though...too bad SE does not have it.

Any good website to download software? Can we use P1i's software?

So, seeing as the P1 just got its new firmware, how long do we think before we see it for our W960?

Very soon I believe.

The R6G04 language files are on the support download site for W960i.

Hi,

I just got my set yesterday.

I have some queries.

1) I can't seem to find the different profile settings i.e. Office, Meeting...etc. My K800i have these profile settings.

2) I am able to connect to my linksys router via WLAN. However when I tried to surf the net, it prompted me "unable to locate remote server"

Please advise.

Thank you.

p.s. I am a first time symbian phone user, not too sure about the functions.

Hi and welcome on Esato.

To answer your Qs:

1. there are no profiles on the W960 (nor on any SE UIQ phone so far for that matter), those could only be found in SE non-smartphones.

2. I think there's already a couple of threads about getting Wifi to work on the W960, so you can find full info in those threads. Try this one for example: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=163069#post2229723

Hope this helps!

hi, im currently selling my w910i to get a w960. i live in australia, and still it is yet to be realeaed, hence whyi jumped for the w910i, love that phone, but the simplest function i want from a fone is to ring loud, and have a loud ear speaker. the w910i cannot do that. for the w960i owners, is the speaker loud when yiu have mp3 ringtones, and is the ear speaker (making fone calls) loud?
