Hi, I would like to know from your experience, if picture quality improved, worsened or did not change from ICS to JellyBean.
Also, if any of you had the Xperia P before or after the T, which one did you consider had the best picture quality (stills, mainly).
Many thanks in advance.

@Big_D
I flashed
thejosetree's ftf on my Chinese TX. His file contains all the Google apps stuff that don't come as stock on Chinese FW.
I did a full data wipe when installing, after backing up via titanium (root needed).
It seems great. Fast, smooth and has Google Now, which I love. My TX was starting to show signs of instability in the last couple months, all those instabilities are now gone. New stock launcher is great, being able to set the number of screens is making me consider moving back to the stock Sony launcher. All the stock apps are updated to the same as what's on Xperia Z including the lock screen and the new camera interface, but not the extra controls in the battery saving function.
I think the region of
thejosetree's upload is for one of the arabic speaking areas, but it doesn't matter, just uninstall any of the regional apps or on xda there is now
French,
Malaysian and
Russian regions too. They should all be the same except for a couple of extra region specific apps.
Use flashtool to flash the ftf, neither root nor unlocked bootloader needed for flashtool.

which flashtool do I use? I googled it and found a few, which is the best one.
if I do flashed it, when the official update comes, will I be able do it officially, without any issues or complication?
I found something called Emma flashtool, on the Sony website? would that be good?
If I update it, will it delete/reset everything on my phone?

I mean
flashtool the 3rd party tool made specifically for flashing Sony/Sony Ericsson android devices.
The ftf files I linked to are for the official firmware releases for those regions. They are exactly as Sony send them through the PC Companion updater. All that the uploader has done is dig out the files that the Sony program downloads and bundle them in a package for updating your phone through flashtool. Does this make sense?
Once you flash a different region firmware you will then be on that region's update schedule and whenever that region gets a new update you will be able to update without any restrictions or complications. Traditionally certain regions get the updates sooner than others but with flashtool you can always flash whichever region releases first and not have to keep to your regions update schedule.
On TX, whichever way you update you will
not lose what is stored in the 11GB internal user storage, this is usually where photos and videos are stored, certain apps will backup data here, downloaded files from the web browser go here etc (I say you won't lose it but it's not unknown for manufacturers to slip up so back these up to your memory card or PC just in case). The system storage is where apps and app data is stored. This area is what is usually wiped to do a big update, this means you should be backing up app data, reinstalling Play Store apps and restoring backed up data.
If you update through flashtool for a minor update you can elect to keep your data and not require backing it up and restoring anything. I don't recommend this. I prefer to always backup my apps and data before doing a full wipe of data, flash, then restore apps and data. It's slightly more hard work to backup everything then restore everything, but I do this because a) I want to keep my Angry Birds high scores (3 stars on all levels of all releases) and b) it's possible to run into complications with some apps if you try to keep all the data during a major update (this latest update is a major update).

are there instructions, I might got the wrong one. the steps are for Xperia x10, even though I clicked on the Lt29 files. in the steps of flashing the phone, it says to unplug the device and power off. then hold the "back button" while plugging the usb cable. It's impossible with tX since there is no back button, which button should I hold?

Yeah the instructions in that pop-up are written for X10 ignore them.
The steps you should be doing are:
Dowload the ftf for LT29
Unpack and put them in the flashtool firmares folder
Open flash tool
Click the flash lightening bolt iconin the top left
Select the correct firmware
On your phone go to Settings > Developer options > Enable usb debugging (you may need to enable the developer option in the top right first)
When prompted, turn your phone off
When it's off, hold the volume down button and connect using the usb cable
Once flashtool has detected your phone and started it's magic you can release the volume down button
When all is finished it will tell you in the log and you can unplug your phone (should take around 10-15 minutes at most)

As a precautionary measure, make sure that sony pc companion and update service are not running, and prior to the flashing, make sure the usb drivers for your phone is installed.
