se-rules, you'll know when your using 3G on o2 because there will be a symbol next to the signal meter that's like a blue and white swirl...alternatively, you can turn off the 3G and just have it in gsm mode.

Hi, does using 3g reception use up more battery then gsm mode?

p.s getting the white k610i thru the post tomorrow

here are the specs for the K610 where you can see UMTS has considerably less battery time

Networks Talk time (up to) Standby time (up to) Video call (up to)
....UMTS 2 hours 30 min 350 hours 0 min 1 hours 35 min
GSM 900 7 hours 0 min 350 hours 0 min -
GSM 1800 7 hours 0 min 350 hours 0 min -
GSM 1900 7 hours 0 min 350 hours 0 min -

I am very very impressed with the camera. The flash is great, just like my sony digi cam! I thought when they were using the cybershot name then it would be a bit of a con - but the camera is ace!

It has a proper xenon flash that you would find on a proper digi-cam, not the LED that you would find on the W900, K750 etc.

Its is very good quality. I took a pic in a cab on Sat night and it came out very clear, almost like evening light, when it was taken at 1am pitch black! Highly recommended!
