Oh, yeah... go sony ericsson, go, go, go! If this forum never existed I wonder where all this informations will be? Why they don't say anything about the software releases that they've made, will make, some sort of change log and a bug tracker...
Maybe, just maybe, someone should remember SE that they need software to run hardware and, above all, people buys their products for the software too...
One point down for Sony in my list.. and really hope that the next firmware will be up soon and rise the expectations... (and they call it flagship... of bugs maybe)

K850 is not the king of bugs, we should stop these exaggerations, shall we?
#037 soft is pretty stable and those multi tasking bugs we have discovered are just minor problems, 89% of the users wont meet in daily use.
EVERY and EACH mobile in the market has its bugs, esp the new comers.
This phone is not an exception and it is not any worse than the rest.
Give SE the proper time to make the adjustments and present with the best debugged soft, possible. Rushing it would only harm us all...

Ok, so I may be overreacted but I think in that case the test scenarios for bug testing @SE (if any) are strange. I mean, how can you not test these or say that everything is fine, go for production without releasing a bug fix for them asap, or asap is 3 months?
- The Media player speed has been increased when dealing with many entries. (Yeah, right, I have 68 mp3's and when the media player is playing the phone barely opens the GMail application or just about any other java application)
- Shuffle functionality in the Media Player repeats the same track until you manually skip to the next.
- If the phone goes into standby whilst viewing photos, resuming the phone isn't possible unless you exit this mode.
- The zoom buttons both zoom into a picture and change the volume if you are listening to music whilst browsing pictures.
Yesterday I was showing my K850 to a colleague and when he tried to do a photo, guess what... the shutter didn't open... It took 4 hard reboots, 8 normal restarts and about half hour to be able to take a photo...
Don't get me wrong, I love SE, all my phones are SE but either give me such troubles. Ooohhh and those pictures taken with K800...

I'm a software engineer/programmer and on all the projects i have been on with my company, things like this would never go into live or production.
When bugs as severe as this occur, people are made to work day/night and weekends to fix it for a new release!
Im sure the SE team are working hard, but i don't think they have their priorities right, they are concentrating on the bugs which will affect new customers in buying the phone (to make more money). Not so much thinking about the experienced and more higher end users who want to use all the functions on the phone. The people who want the phone to perform as well as it looks on paper.
Because, spec wise, this phone should be on the top boss, but as we all the know the software is severely ruining the reputation.
As a huge SE fan, i am being patient and hoping, that someone at SE can hear our issues and put this into action.
Im sure, actually, im positive its not that hard to fix the bugs and test them before the release. (Hopefully this is what they are doing now, hence the delay in the big release).

What delay, did Sony say it will be here on the 20th or did people just assume it would? It may come any day now. I don't mind much really, my week37, unbranded 037 k850i is fine and i experience few amount of problems, few times a week maybe, but then again, i am not a heavy user.

i have to say. my k850i is very stable. the only thing that irritates me is the slowness of the phone that is why i have put it away until the next upgrade and now using my k750i, hopefully itl go a lil faster and then il use it again
K750i RULES!!!!!

@kcassidy
if my memory servers me correct, someone emailed SE asking about a new firmware and their team said the release would be on the 20th Jan.
If my memory is working properly there is a copy of the email somewhere in the past pages of this thread
