Minis these days aren't very mini. I think I need an Xperia Z1 Micro. I would have liked a slightly smaller screen, say 4", (which would also differentiate more from the regular 5" model). It's a long way from Ray and SX size.

I actually compared the size of the Z1 f from that brochure to my iPhone 5 and it is really only a tiny tiny bit bigger. It's much closer to an iPhone the HTC One Mini is.

Is that a headphone jack below the camera shutter key on Z1F or a lanyard hole? I expect there to be some more spec cuts on the Z1F because it seems too close to the Z1 so any ideas on what is missing? What about removable storage?

Xperia ray 111 x 53 x 9.4 3.3", 480x854
Xperia SX 115 x 54 x 9.4 3.7", 540x960
iPhone 5 124 x 59 x 7.6 4.0", 640x1136
one mini 132 x 63 x 9.3 4.3", 720x1280
Xperia Z1 f 127 x 65 x 9.4 4.3", 720x1280
Xperia Z1 144 x 74 x 8.5 5.0", 1080x1920
(specs from gsmarena, apart from Z1 f).

It's slightly shorter than a one mini I guess (if the rumoured dimensions are correct). On size and screen size / resolution the iPhone appeals (though the price is somewhat scary), the Z1 f is OK-ish, guess the real test will be looking at it in-store.

For some insane reason, despite typing them out, I had assumed the iPhone was slightly higher resolution. No idea how I did that, think I saw the 1136 for the iPhone and knew the others were 720. Of course was comparing the wrong axis. What an idiot That changes things a bit.

I looked at some phones in-shop a while ago, and concluded I liked the iPhone size better than all the larger Android phones I saw. The Z1 f and one mini aren't lots bigger so I'll have another look once the Z1 f is out (assuming it comes to Europe). No rush to replace my ray though (always liked the SX design too).

Oh trust me, that small screen width does affect typing unless you've got skinny fingers. The iPhone could doe with more width on it's screen.

Been reading around other sites, and none of them mention Sony as guilty or not guilty. In fact read the original Anandtech post.
Usually no mention in such news would be welcome, but a bit annoying to read that ''all major android OEMs are guilty to an extent..'' only to mention Moto and Apple to be clear.

Is Sony not major enough to be commented or mentioned?
