I have seen something like that on an old computer. The trick is you need to put a bootable floppy disc that will make the computer boot from the cd (I can't actually remember what they are called

Right. Got it to boot, installed XP.
But now the Easynote C3300 wont recognise the wireless card in the cardbus and UI cant find drivers anywhere, device manager is no help.
Any ideas?

This is because you have an application or service that is working all of the time. This could be because it has malfunctioned, or it could be something more sinister like a trojan or spyware application.
If you press ctrl-alt-delete on the keyboard and then select 'start task manager' (if it's vista), you'll see a list of open applications and their processor usage. There is another tab at the top of the window called 'processes', have a look at this list too. Somewhere in those lists, there will be one or more items using lots of processor time!
Let us know what they are called, and we'll see what we can do

@Thomas93 can you get online? Hey your self a copy of Everest, that will tell you exactly what you need drivers wise, or get ya self a copy of driver genius from pirate bay it works very well, pm me IF you need any driver help I never give up lol

Yeah like cyco said open up task manager any look for what is using the most ram and running at 100% and you could google that process are what comes up, sounds like malware, virus, spyware etc
