No thanks Krypts.Id rather be a prostitute in Hollands Red Light District pomping a 100 clients a day than become a politician.

My African name given to me is Siphosetu.I think its quite fitting.

@Wanga See buddy,Hobbs knows where the action is.Sea Drama.I'd thought you'd like like,so I staged the whole thing.Cost me an arm an a leg on actors and props it did, especially at such short notice.I thought its raining so consistently and Wangs is most probably stuck in-doors,what could I do to entertain him and thats when I came up with 'Sea Drama' Hope you enjoyed the show. lol

LMAO Hobbster, lovin' that vivid imagination, boet.

Wow, that one trawler probably did first report problems with the engine conking out, around Melkbos. The strong current eventually beached the thing all-too-close to the first beached trawler.
The maddest part of the whole thing ws when they started jumping off the ship, once it grounded itself. To my horror and amazement, some of the sailors were dof enough to jump off into the sea BETWEEN the ship and oncoming waves on the starboard side of the ship, not the port side which was closer to the beach! The result? Some awful-looking body-slams into the ship's hull as the waves promptly took the 2 or 3 wallies who jumped off on the 'wrong side', and re-united them with this ship in a rather unceremonious way...
Fortunately, they were all seemingly in one piece... and thank God the paramedics were there already; being slammed into the propellor coulda been a whole lot nastier, even if the engine was kaput...

Will try post some pics, but I'm having hassles with the father-in-law's browser on this laptop. Will post them when we get back to the 'Yhu Kei' if I can't get round the browser settings. I did try the imageshack route, clicked the resizing option and the picture still came out full-size on esato. I promptly deleted that post, before laffen starts spitting snakes about bandwidth n' stuff, LOL. One way or another, I'll get 'em posted.
In 2 days in SA, I've already managed to take some really bril cellphone pics. bring it on!

Had a lekker meal at the Santa Ana Spur by the V&A Waterfront tonight, Hobbster.
Walked into a takkie shop there called Athletes Foot (LOL). A dude there commented on the West Ham united shirt i was wearing. We got talking. Ends up he used to attend the school just down the road from where I currently teach in the UK and he knew the area so well; he even asked me about the head teacher at his former primary school, who I knew as well. Small(er) world, hey?

Ya, and just in case I still wasn't sure I was actually in SA, I noticed a shop downstairs called 'Naartjie'.. LOL.

@ Unkl Kryptik:
Congrats, boet!
No major medical costs to endure for them as well, sigh.. the good ol' NHS. Ya, tax may be 17.5 % here, but then one doesn't pay to see the quack, there's no school fees required for state schools etc.

Imagine the pics you could have taken if one of the above mentioned 'Wallies' had got caught up in amongst the propeller blades. That would have been something hey.lol
Sounds like you having fun Wangs.Where you going to be tomorrow? Let me know and I can maybe stage another drama for you.Maybe a mountaintop suicide jump,a shark mauling,a city centre shootout,a helicopter plunging into the sea.Any request? Just let me know so I can book the actors and props again.lol
