Ooooh looks sharper with better contrast. So that random blurring is caused by the software?

@itsjustJOH, yes.
Updated my "old" Z2 just for a test and i can confirm the camera improvement.
ISO 50 or 100 under low light force the shutter speed to 1s or a bit faster, which is a good thing
The phone seems faster too. (principally the UI and texting)
But, i reverted to the previous build after a day because i'll sell it this week.
My Z2 is the D6543 version with DTV, the brazilian version.
No 4.4.4 yet.

Before the 4.4.4 update, I used oversampled 8MP mode at ALL conditions as the 20.7MP mode was proven soft and full of artifacts.
And now with 4.4.4 firmware, I will use 20.7MP mode for outdoor daylight conditions and 8MP mode for indoors and night shots.
Oh yes, Z2's camera algorithm right now is EXACTLY THE SAME as Xperia Z3's, and since Z3 using 20.7MP mode is able to trounce Galaxy S5 & Note 4, it is safe to say that now Z2 is fully capable of delivering 20.7MP worth of true details 😁😁😁😁😁
