@jingboyx mate i was not able to get speed more than 5-6kbps b4 when i first time connected free gprs on pc. than i took my lg rd2030 data cable which has (FTDI chip) to the electronic shop and they joined connector of Lgb2050 on that datacable and now speed between my pc and mobile is 230kBps and getting download speed up to 11-15KBps.
its all coz of ftdi chip set data cable i purchased it from web world @1300 long time back.
it is different from normal gray market data cable.

Thanks for that valuable info. This clarifies one big doubt for me. Even though theoretically class10 gprs phones can only have a max speed of 48kbps, it can be tweaked by using certain custom engineered cables. Which means the phones are actually capable of more thoroughput than its gprs class. I find this very interesting!!

yes ofcourse. All downloads are free. One way to verify anything is by checking the link. If the link address contains a script (which in airtel is finalorder.Jsp) then that item is paid else free. But sometimes the script may fail to work and you can get free downloads where one is liable to pay. (it is happenin in bsnl)
