GPS on the background??? Of course that's not the kind of app I'd leave in the background. Nevertheless, I will not elaborate my thoughts any further since unlike you, I have no facts to back them. Thanks for sharing yours. I'd like to leave this by saying more than 128mb is definitely welcome on WM and I'm guessing that the experts (HTC in particular) has started to think so too.

Its not just GPS, its any application.
If you've read any of my posts you'd know that I welcome the RAM, and I dont see how you associate more RAM with more battery backup though. I dont think I've mentioned anywhere that we require less RAM

. And I think any expert on any thing related to computer systems could tell you that keeping things in the RAM is not good for overall performance of the system. I mean its common sense, extra load on CPU for no reason is not efficent from any aspect .

Is it only me or does HTC diamond and XPERIA X1 have almost the same spec.

Nearly the same processor, same type of gps, RDS radio, autofocus camera etc. Just some minor parts that differs, screen, QWERTY and their two own software's.

I have to agree with AKSD, my WM runs out of battery quicker if I leave lot's of apps open.

Guess it depends on how you define almost.....
I think any devices in the same price range will be somewhat similar. What's your point?

$949 sounds a lot better than $1799 but it's still off the chain! Almost a grand for a mobile?! I paid $1100 for a laptop!

Hi Rambo 47
But that is the price most top the range smart phones cost and they seem to be between £400-£600 depending on how soon after release they are. Both the TyTN2 and the E90 are currently around the £490 price point on Expansys and the HTC Touch Diamond is showing @£475.
Also making things smaller always seems incur further costs so i don't really see how you can compare a laptop to a smart phone look a how much more smaller and lighter less well specified Laptops are compared to the better specified bigger counterparts.
