@ Brix All i was saying is if any network that wants 3G.You have to roll out a NEW NETWORK.What WM was saying is MTN has all system in one.In other words he is trying to say where ever MTN has EDGE it will have 3G coverage because its in one base station.....THATS BULLSHIT.What networks are doing is there are putting a NODE(3G base station) next to the 2G base station and installing 3G antenaes on current masts.NETWORKS ARE NOT REMOVING 2G base station but adding 3G NODES next to each other This message was posted from a P900

Dudes don't even try and draw me into a "Who is the better connection" crap. Overall I stand on neutral ground with respect to all networks - on a more detailed level I will confess that each network has strengths and weaknesses. Dear Mr Ally while I'm encouraged by your devotion to a network, these are after all just companies that deliver a wide variety of services and products. I don't think that debating this issue calls for blinded devotion - it calls for an intellectual discussion aimed at sharing information and teaching each other more about this amazing technology. It's an empowering technology and we'll do better teaching everyone how to use it to better themselves, than to dwell on trivialities. Be inspired by what each network is doing and encourage the forward movement of such progress. I don't keep a score card - I celebrate each achievement being accomplished. My hat of to all who work diligently to deliver mobile empowerment to Africa.

I say no more - "under construction" usually means that it's not functional. I was playing on Vodafone live! weeks before it went live and I noted this link. It may however still take time before this link becomes active. As for live TV on Vodafone live! - I have it on good authority that this will not happen before 2006.

@Mohil: Where did you get that 6680... Tahir has just put me off. Way off topic, just check out grouphug.us for some serious dysfunctional people spilling their guts. Defo one of my favourite sites. This message was posted from a K700i

Brix: I ordered the phone from Vodacom Direct. It was delivered to me last Wednesday. It's not a Vlive phone. I would like to add to my review though:
Battery life is lasting me about 4 days with frequent use, but I do have one major issue with my handset - I HAVE to switch the phone off to charge it, cos charging while it's on seems to have no effect. The battery meter shows that it's charging, but I left it to charge overnight, and in the morning it was still charging. I took it off charge, and the battery level was the same as before. I switched off, and it charged fully in half an hour.
If anyone else has a 6680, please tell me if you're having the same problem. Any chance of an available software update I can have done on my phone? Other than that, the phone is just peachy.
I don't seem to pick up 3g signal all the time though. I'd say about 50% of the time. Also, I still have not made a video call.

@Mohil: Thanks mate. Yep, the problem with the battery seems on the surface to be a software fault. I'm in Cape Town and have noticed that Vodacom's 3G signal is only available in certain locations and the cells seem to be very small. Good luck with your 6680. This message was posted from a K700i
