Gather closer, gentlemen, and allow me to impart a word of wisdom to all prospective grooms...
The easiest way to get through wedding planning is the No-No-Yes method. It works like this... she drags you along to look at curtains, bedding, crockery, cutlery, photo frames, fabric, in fact to look at nearly everything in which the typical male's interest level is resoundingly less than zero. It's at these times that one's mind tends to wander, much to the lady's disappointment, which she will often exhibit by means of meaningful glares which could melt Kevlar. A good habit to cultivate and embed within the subconscious is the world-renowned No-No-Yes method.
Typically, she'll hold up a dress/towel/dish/swathe of fabric for your opinion. Without hesitation you tell her No... not that one... She holds up the next sample... Once again, you reply in the negative... Only when she proffers the 3rd sample do you exhibit any signs of agreeing with her selection.
This is because prospective brides tend to be indecisive, yet they think that your opinion is of value, thus the constant barrage of questions and solicitations of your opinion.
Remember now, No-No-Yes... and try to make sympathetic murmurs every now and then, it works wonders

Thats hilarious Krypts.I think its a bit of both Falcon.I think put on the wedding invitation that the only presents you and your bride want are techno gadgets. The top two items a Sony Ericsson Xperia for you and a Nokia E71 for the misses. Then can come all the accessories like memory cards,A2DP headphones, wireless keyboards, leather cases, airtime for a year ect Bugger pots and pans, coffee makers, kettles and cutlery. That way you get your cake buttered on both sides (stolen from Kryptik) lol

Thanks again, guys. @ carkitter: Congrats on your & M-O's awards, mate, and for the En-Zed thread doing so well too. :-) @ Hobbster: Ya I left my Bok jersey in the UK, but will for sure be cheering them on from where we are visiting at the moment, boet. It's been a long time since I've watched the Springboks play while I'm in SA, i.e. 2005 Tri-Nations while at the Boma in Jo'burg..
